Open official AP30 downloads

Select Downloads on the product page and find the AP30 series row under Drivers if the tab does not open directly.

Separate the current download row from older CD instructions

ItemCheck and action
WindowsCurrent row: Windows 7, 8, 10, 11; Server 2008R2, 2012, 2016, 2019, 2022, 2025. Version is labelled Latest, size 32.13MB.
Legacy MacShared-manual PDF page 40 describes Mac OS X 10.11, Intel/PowerPC and the supplied CD. It does not establish current macOS or Apple Silicon support.
Linux / CPUThe observed row gives no Linux package or CPU architecture. A Windows label alone does not establish x86, x64 or ARM64 support.

The link names AP30-Series_V1.02.08122024.zip. Its filename does not verify a payload version, release date, signature or runtime result.

For USB order, shared-manual PDF pages 31–32 say to keep the cable disconnected until setup requests it. Those CD-era screens are not verification of the current installer interface.

Identify AP30, AP30U and the shared-manual scope

The linked brochure distinguishes AP30 with an LPH engine from AP30U with an LSU engine. This guide registers AP30 only. Check its label before using AP30U or AM30 multifunction instructions.

Resolution sources differ

Current product/brochure: 1200dpi. Linked manual PDF page 118 and product FAQ 600707: 600dpi. Confirm the setting for the actual unit and driver with Avision.

Official shared manual: PDF page 118

The shared manual also contains scanner, fax and ADF text; these are not evidence of built-in AP30 functions. Media weights, duplex sizes and drum-life figures also differ across sources; use documentation for the fitted regional unit.

Two USB roles, wired LAN and optional wireless

ItemCheck and action
USBType-B is the computer port; Type-A is shown for a USB flash disk. Do not confuse the storage port with the PC connection.
EthernetThe shared manual specifies USB 2.0 and 10/100Mbps Ethernet. Check the actual LAN port/cable and compare the usage-report IP.
Wi-FiPDF page 37 describes a Wi-Fi dongle at the rear USB port and Network Setup Tool on a USB-connected PC. Wireless is optional; this does not mean any generic USB dongle is compatible.

Cancel for three seconds: a usage report containing the IP

  1. Common preparation: check suitable paper and a powered, ready printer. Do not substitute a button combination during power-on.
  2. Hold Cancel for three seconds to print the usage report. The network-connection section says it includes IP information.
  3. Common comparison: if the report prints but PC jobs fail, compare the connection/report IP, same AP30 driver and selected printer queue.

A short Cancel press cancels a job. The usage report is not a color calibration, scanner diagnosis or reset.

Read the indicator and then the full status message

ItemCheck and action
Power / ReadyCheck the powered printer’s ready indication. A light alone does not prove a driver fault.
LANIndicates a LAN connection; it does not alone prove that IP addressing or DHCP is correct.
AlertThe manual associates flashing with warnings/errors. Read the full Status Monitor text/code rather than inventing flash-count codes.

PDF pages 93–94 describe Printer Status Monitor for USB or network connections. Check the selected printer, port and current status so another device’s message is not mistaken for this one.

AP30 checks by printing-failure cause

ItemCheck and action
PC driver / queueIf the device report works but PC jobs fail, compare AP30 downloads, actual OS/CPU scope and queue selection. This is a common host-side check.
USB / LAN portDistinguish the Type-B computer port, actual cable/LAN and optional Wi-Fi.
Address / DHCPFor 500000/500002, check IP/DHCP settings with the administrator using the usage-report IP. Do not begin by resetting addressing.
Paper / coverMatch 200080/200081 to the actual tray and distinguish cover messages in the error table.
Toner / drumSeparate low/empty toner and drum near-end/end. Reinstalling a driver does not resolve a consumable condition.
Light printPDF page 104 checks toner seating/level, paper and the driver’s Toner Save setting. Start driver-related checks from this AP30 guide.

Eight selected printing-code groups from the shared manual

ItemCheck and action
200032 / 200031Low / empty toner. Prepare a replacement for low toner; follow cartridge replacement guidance for empty toner.
200043 / 200042Drum near end / end of life. Ask service to arrange a new drum or its replacement, as indicated. A counter reset is not a substitute.
200051 / 200054Front / rear cover open. Check the indicated cover is properly closed.
200080 / 200081Manual tray empty / tray 1 empty. Compare the job’s requested source with the loaded tray.
200003Tray 1 pickup issue. The table includes empty paper, a jam or failed pickup; do not assume one cause.
500000IP conflict. Compare the report and actual network settings with the administrator.
500002No DHCP response. Check DHCP and network settings.
201610LPH connection error. Record the full code and symptoms; do not disassemble internal cabling. If it persists after an ordinary restart, contact service.

For paper jams, match the location table on PDF page 100 to the actual print path. PDF page 102 warns against touching the fuser before it cools. Shared-table ADF, scan and fax errors are excluded from this AP30 printing guide.
