| Windows application printing | Mobile Windows Driver V5.2.3 ·16 MB ·20 August 2026. The displayed OS list includes Windows 11; its ARM text is incomplete. | Confirm the package’s actual CPU/OS requirements. This guide does not infer ARM support from the malformed label. |
| Linux / macOS queues | Linux CUPS Driver POS V1.5.9 and Mac CUPS Driver POS V1.5.9 ·4 MB each ·12 March 2026. | The Linux popover lists distribution/Raspberry Pi minimums and later versions; Mac says 10.9 later. Apple Silicon and every current distribution were not independently tested. |
| POS integration and utilities | OPOS V5.2.10, JavaPOS V2.8.12, BIXOLON Utility and mobile SDK/apps are separate listings. | Use the software expected by your POS app. A utility, SDK or firmware manager is not a substitute for a normal print driver. |
Choose the package and the actual connection
The exact download page was checked on 13 October 2026. Expand Supported OS beside your chosen row and review its requirements before downloading. For Windows, choose the mobile printer driver for ordinary application printing, or the POS component required by your application. Follow that package’s cable-order instructions, select the exact SPP-R200III queue and compare one small print job.
No driver/firmware executable was downloaded or run, and no download agreement was accepted. Current store-app, CPU and physical printing compatibility remain untested. Firmware and memory-switch changes are separate maintenance operations.
Match SPP-R200III, its options and its 14-pin port
The June 2026 specification separates SPP-R200III from SPP-R200IIIU. SPP-R200III has USB 2.0 FS + Serial as standard, with either Bluetooth or WLAN configurations offered as options, and a separate power port plus Serial/USB 14P connector. The U model has a USB Type-C port and Type-C charging; do not apply its cable or charger assumptions to this model.
Both are direct-thermal 203 dpi mobile printers. The listed media width is 58 mm but maximum printed width is 48 mm. Receipt/liner media are standard; linerless hardware and a 50 mm partition are optional. Maximum receipt roll diameter is 40 mm; use the actual model/media specifications. There is no ink cartridge, transfer ribbon or A4 document scanner.
The support-page introduction broadly advertises Type-C, but the detailed specification assigns it to SPP-R200IIIU. This guide registers only SPP-R200III. The older Rev.1.02 guide’s WLAN specification is b/g/n, while the current specification lists a/b/g/n and additional modes; verify your fitted radio rather than assuming every unit has all wireless features.
Self-test: release both buttons when printing starts
- Load appropriate thermal stock, close the paper cover and turn the printer off.
- Press FEED and Power together to turn it on. Release both when printing starts.
- The report checks the device’s circuit, mechanics, quality, ROM version and memory-switch settings. Press FEED once more for the ASCII pattern; after that output the self-test finishes automatically.
- Compare the report with one host print. If the device report is good but the host job fails, check the actual port, app and same-model driver. Do not install software to fix a report that cannot print.
Check the current media mode first. In label mode, the documented startup selection offers Auto Calibration: Power Button and Self Test: Feed Button. Choose FEED for a test; Power selects calibration and consumes three labels. This is not a factory-reset recipe. The report examples show historical firmware, settings and wireless addresses, not values to copy into your device.
Ten light conditions: keep battery, left Error and right Status separate
| Light / context | Meaning | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Battery: three blue | Fully charged indication in the model guide. | Details |
| Battery: two blue | Approximately half charged indication. | Details |
| Battery: one blue | Lowest charge level indication. | Details |
| Battery: red | Charge or replace the matching battery. | Details |
| Left Error: red steady | Paper cover is open. | Details |
| Left Error: red blinking | Paper exhausted or head overheated; check stock and heat before blaming software. | Details |
| Left Error: persistent blinking | If loading/cooling does not clear it, use authorized service. | Details |
| Right Status: green with Bluetooth | Ready for Bluetooth communication, together with the battery light; readiness is not proof a host print connection exists. | Details |
| Right Status: green blinking with WLAN | Acceptable WLAN signal strength on a WLAN-equipped model. | Details |
| Right Status: red blinking with WLAN | Weak WLAN signal; do not confuse this with the left Error light. | Details |
Eight causes and matching help
| Cause | First check | Matching help |
|---|---|---|
| No feed or self-test | Check charged/seated battery, closed cover and suitable stock. | Device test |
| Wrong driver, model or OS | A good report but failed PC output: match SPP-R200III, package and app. | SPP-R200III drivers |
| Wrong cable or serial port | Use the fitted 14-pin interface and matching approved USB/serial cable; compare actual serial settings. | Connection checks |
| Bluetooth paired / WLAN unreachable | Complete the host print connection, or compare the fitted WLAN and actual network settings. | Connection checks |
| Blank receipt or open cover | Check direct-thermal stock orientation and latched cover. | Paper path |
| Left Error blinking / hot head | Separate exhausted stock from overheating; use the documented cooling interval. | Paper or heat |
| Skipped or misaligned labels | Check label mode and actual gap/black mark before calibration. | Mode and calibration |
| Faint print, stripes or garbled text | Compare self-test pattern with host font/code-page/layout; clean only with the exact model procedure. | Quality and text |
Battery lights are not charger lights
Seat the matching battery hook and latch correctly. Follow the model’s supplied-charger instructions, which call for printer power off during charging. Do not infer USB Type-C charging for SPP-R200III from the U model. A damaged, swollen or abnormally hot battery needs manufacturer/dealer support.
The optional quad charger has a separate table: red steady = charging, green blinking = over 80%, green steady = full, red blinking = battery/error check. These colors must not be read as the printer’s left Error or right Status conditions. The approximate charging time varies with the charger and temperature.
Follow the roll direction and close the cover
Use direct-thermal stock suitable for the actual receipt/label/linerless configuration. Remove the empty roll core, load in the direction of the official illustration, align the roll, pull out the leading edge and close the cover. Tear excess toward the side as shown. Ordinary paper or the wrong thermal side can give blank output even with a working driver.
Paper-out and overheating share one blinking Error
Read the left Error light with the paper and recent workload. Reload exhausted stock. For an overheated head, Rev.1.02 says power off for at least ten minutes. Persistent blinking after the documented checks needs service; no unique blink-count code is invented. Power-save behavior after communication can leave only Status lit, so a different light pattern alone is not a hardware failure.
Cable, Bluetooth and WLAN are distinct routes
For this model, use the manufacturer-approved interface cable matching its Serial/USB 14P connector; do not force a Type-C cable into it. Compare the selected queue and actual USB or serial port. The self-test prints serial settings: match the host to your report rather than copying the sample’s baud rate.
NFC automatic pairing reaches the Bluetooth pairing stage; the model guide says a manual connection can still be needed. Pairing success therefore does not prove the POS app is connected. On a fitted WLAN model, compare the actual report’s SSID, IP and approved authentication with the intended network. The old sample’s open/unencrypted network and example address are not recommended settings. Keep reports and private keys confidential.
Receipt mode, label mode and calibration
With power on, opening the cover and holding FEED for more than two seconds until the buzzer switches the documented receipt/label mode; insert the intended stock and close the cover. Repeating the procedure returns to receipt mode. Do this only when changing the intended media mode, not as a generic fix for an offline PC queue.
When actual label gaps or black marks are not recognized in label mode, its startup selection offers calibration with Power and self-test with FEED. Calibration advances three labels. Match the stock/mode and exact manual first; do not change memory switches, reset stored configuration or use calibration on an ordinary receipt merely because output stopped.
Compare the device pattern and the host text
A clean self-test but corrupted host characters points toward the application’s font/code page, actual driver/port and label dimensions as common host checks. The sample PC437 and firmware version are examples, not a guarantee of Korean text support. Compare one short job before repeatedly resending it.
For the exact Rev.1.02 cleaning procedure, turn power off and let the head cool two to three minutes. Clean the head and actual black-mark sensor with the manual’s medical-alcohol cloth/swab, avoid touching or scratching the heating area, and let it evaporate/dry fully for one to two minutes before use. Do not substitute another printer’s solvent or concentration requirement. For fitted linerless use, the guide calls for cleaning after ten rolls (100 m), or more than weekly; use approved media and follow the current unit instructions.
