Connection and installation
- Confirm exact CP1300 and compatible Windows 10, save work, close other apps, inspect rights/terms. Match dedicated paper, ink and cassette; remove memory cards/flash drives. PC cable: Mini-B at printer, 2.5 m or shorter.
- Extract official ZIP, run cp1300-100-10l.exe yourself. Choose Use with a USB connection. At connection prompt turn SELPHY off, connect directly to PC, then turn on as instructed. Select Canon SELPHY CP1300 and matching paper/border options; test one photo. Wake sleeping PC before unplugging.
- Wi-Fi: PC and printer on same reachable compatible router, confirm actual SSID/password and connection screen, select Use with a wireless network in installer and actual CP1300. Direct connection differs from router networking. No blanket firewall/public-network changes.
Troubleshooting
Check actual CP1300 queue/offline status and remove inserted cards/flash drives. USB: correct Mini-B port/cable and direct PC, not hub. Wi-Fi: same access point and reachable network. Match dedicated paper, ink cassette and driver size; do not reuse paper or force jammed paper. Cancel only your own PC job. Persistent errors need exact model/OS/connection/message for Canon support.
