Windows driverThe model lists 2021.03 M2 for Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10 and listed Server editions, in 32-bit/x64.
Current limitsThese listings do not establish Windows 11, ARM64 or current macOS/Linux support. Package contents, trust and runtime were not tested.
Separate toolsSetup Tool v1.124.0 handles configuration/firmware. Firmware 18.00.00 and 1140 dot-matrix drivers are separate products.

The European center groups TallyDascom_2021.3_M-2.zip under DL-200. The manual’s older XP listing does not certify a current package.

203dpi label printer and fitted connection

DL-200 is a 203dpi direct-thermal/thermal-transfer label printer. USB 2.0 is standard; serial, parallel, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cutter and peeler are options. Match the actual rear ports and report. Keep DL-210, DL-310 and the 1140 dot-matrix model separate.

The manual calls for driver installation before host connection. Follow its cable sequence with printer and host powered off.

Match media, print side and ribbon

Use direct-thermal stock without ribbon; match transfer stock to its ribbon. Ribbon must be wider than the media. Disconnect power and let the head cool before internal handling.

  1. Open the cover/fixers and load the roll print-side up.
  2. Route media through the guides and support both roll sides. Keep the internal-roll fixer stopper movable as pictured in the manual.
  3. Latch the cover on both sides. For a new roll, changed size or skipped labels, compare calibration below and actual label dimensions.

Power-on FEED modes and self-test

  1. Load suitable media, close the cover and switch off.
  2. Hold FEED while powering on; use the first Power flash and single beep for self-test. Do not continue holding into later groups.
  3. Compare the printed model, interface, print method, sensor, language and media size with the host. The manual report is an example.

1 flash + 1 beepConfiguration report; a device comparison independent of the PC driver.
2 flashes + 2 beepsAutomatic label calibration, for first use, new rolls, size changes or skipped labels.
3 flashes + 3 beepsHexadecimal diagnosis; separate from normal documents. Use printed p.52 for final-line handling and exit.

In standby, a short FEED advances one label in label mode or one line on continuous stock. Holding FEED continuously advances continuous stock; label mode does not feed.

Eight LED groups: cadence, combination and buzzer

These are indication patterns, not numeric codes. Error flashing alone does not identify one cause.

CheckCheck and next step
All LEDs offCheck power, specified adapter and connection; persistent failure needs service.
Status steadyMedia end; check stock and loading.
Error steadyHead mechanism open; check closure.
Status blinkingThe panel table separates fast peeler-label waiting from slow ribbon-end flashing.
Error + alarmThe fault table lists heat and high/low voltage; allow cooling and check specified power.
Power + Error ×3Three fast flashes plus three beeps: sensor alignment alarm; compare sensor and alignment marks.
Error cadenceAfter startup FEED, one slow plus three fast flashes/four beeps indicates cutter configuration error.
Error fast blinkPanel and fault tables overlap on heat/gap detection. Check other LEDs, buzzer, stock and temperature.

Document limits and support details

The printed p.53 gap row mentions a label setting in both cause and remedy. Its inconsistent wording does not justify an arbitrary setting change. Compare stock, gap/black-mark sensor and configuration. For persistent faults or failed self-test, send support the model, options, full light/beep pattern and report.
