Find official EBS-260A manuals and control tools
Open HANDJET official downloadsStart with the English EBS-260A User Manual, Basic User Manual and Safety Manual under Instructions and Manuals. The separate standalone WUI is a text-project editor; it is not established here as an ordinary USB document-printing driver.
Online WUI and offline editor scope
| Item | What to check |
|---|---|
| Online WUI | Exact EBS-260A manual page 40 describes browser control from a PC over Wi-Fi using the printer IP address. Confirm the local network and current address with the administrator. |
| Standalone WUI listing | The public download page lists editor 1.7.1 for EBS-260 and describes an EXE installer inside a ZIP. That listing alone does not establish support for every EBS-260A system version, modern Windows release or CPU. |
| OS and file scope | Page 40 mentions Windows Offline WUI. The checked sources do not provide an exact Windows-version, ARM, Mac or Linux installer support matrix. Separate project editing, device software updates and ordinary print drivers. |

The Offline WUI paragraph on PDF page 41 explicitly names Hi-Res EBS-2600. Its EBS-260A footer does not resolve that model conflict. Confirm editor 1.7.1 applicability to the installed EBS-260A system with EBS.

Check EBS-260A and the installed system first
The detailed reference here is EBS-260A User Manual G2023/12/10_1EN, dated 16 September 2024, scoped to system 1.04.06. Compare the unit and its system information. Marketing EBS-260 wording and archived 1.02.08 manuals do not establish equivalence for every EBS-260A configuration.

This industrial handheld DOD inkjet marks objects directly using 32 nozzles and an approximately 58mm maximum print height. Diagnose it as a marking system rather than assuming an A4 tray, toner or automatic office-printer test page.

Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and USB serve different roles
| Item | What to check |
|---|---|
| Wi-Fi | Uses browser WUI for projects and printer control. Check the PC-to-unit network path and current address. The manual’s reference to an Ethernet network does not prove a physical Ethernet socket on the unit. |
| Bluetooth | Receives external-device data into a Communications port text object. Consult WUI guidance for dynamic bar/matrix interpretation. Do not infer a phone app or ordinary Bluetooth print queue. |
| USB | Uses approved USB memory for project import/export. Packets are *.exp files in the root folder, distinct from internal *.prj projects. Device updating is a separate function, not a first response to connection trouble. |

A simple-project test for an instructed operator
The manufacturer requires the safety document, the actual consumable MSDS and appropriate training. This summary distinguishes the documented test stages. Purging, venting, solvent cleaning and servicing require the applicable safety procedure and training.
- Create or import a simple project with one Normal text object. Select and confirm it in the project library, then check its name and preview on the main screen.
- Check that the correct project name is green and start printing mode. Attend to any project-specific initial text/counter prompts.
- Following the manual, bring the guide rolls into contact with test material, use the trigger and movement to make a mark, then assess it. Printing starts when lower-roll movement is detected.

Separate selection, waiting, printing and pause
| Item | What to check |
|---|---|
| Missing / wrong project | Open the intended project and inspect its preview. If it is absent from the library, also check active filters. |
| Waiting for the trigger | Entering printing mode does not immediately emit a print. With the green triangle, check the trigger and lower-roll travel conditions. |
| Marking | Detected travel changes the icon to a yellow triangle; completion returns it to green. |
| Paused | The documented pause action turns off the print indicator and enters pause mode. Distinguish this from a PC driver failure. |

EBS-260A printing-failure cause checks
| Item | What to check |
|---|---|
| PC tool / version | For PC-only problems, compare this EBS-260A download section and WUI/system scope. This is a common host-side check; do not assume USB driver reinstallation is required. |
| Project / filter | For inability to start or a missing file, check the active project and library filter; see selection states. |
| Trigger / travel sensing | If there is no print and no error, compare the test project and lower guide roll. The manual identifies an unsuitable roll without a magnet and, with a stabilizer fitted, a detached travel-sensor plug. |
| Wi-Fi control connection | If the unit opens the project but PC control fails, compare the current IP/network path with WUI connection roles. Do not extend this into disabling protection or changing other devices. |
| USB memory / files | Unsupported filesystems such as NTFS, or damaged memory, can prevent recognition. Preserve existing data first; check approved FAT/FAT32 memory and root-folder *.exp packets. Do not immediately format a stick containing data. |
| Quality / ink / IMS | Pale or distorted marks have distinct surface/Dot size, project-setting, contamination and ink-supply causes. Record leaks, consumable and IMS messages for an instructed operator or EBS. Do not substitute service-mode bypasses or an improvised solvent procedure. |

Record message class, full text and time
| Item | What to check |
|---|---|
| Red: error | Includes conditions preventing printing, such as an empty ink container; printing may pause. Inspect the complete message and actual cause. |
| Yellow: warning | Calls for attention, for example low ink. Printing may remain possible, so distinguish it from a red error. |
| Green: information | Provides information or requests a decision. Read it before confirming; the chosen action may execute an operation such as restart. |

History contains an identifier, full text and first occurrence time. E3000 is an identifier example in the manual, not a verified mapping to a specific fault. Preserve the evidence rather than merely clearing messages before resolving the cause.

Official sources and verification scope
Checked 27 October 2026 using the official download, communication, WUI and library pages, three linked English documents and 24 relevant whole PDF pages. This does not make the English manual globally latest. Installer execution/signature, physical printing, pairing and settings changes were not tested.
