Official PP-100III driver and Total Disc Maker
Open official PP-100III softwareConfirm PP-100III and model code C11CH40001, then select the actual OS. Total Disc Maker prepares disc content and labels; the printer driver controls label-print settings.
Official files and roles by OS
| Check | Evidence and next check |
|---|---|
| Windows | The checked Windows 11 list shows Total Disc Maker 10.01, May 7, 2026, 774MB and TotalDiscMakerVer1001Full.exe. It also lists older Windows 32/64-bit editions; Windows 11 ARM support was not separately established. |
| TD Bridge | Windows TD Bridge 10.01 is a separate utility listed as July 22, 2026, 55.7MB. Distinguish application integration from the label-authoring program and device firmware. |
| Mac | The Mac OS X 10.8 selection lists Total Disc Maker 2.51, April 23, 2019, 206MB and OS X 10.6/10.7/10.8. A legacy DMG and Mac manual do not establish current macOS or Apple Silicon compatibility. |
| Linux | The Linux list offers TD Bridge hot-folder integration. Separate the 2.00 x86 entry from 2.80 entries for environments such as UOS and Kylin. Match the actual distribution and processor package rather than assuming the Windows authoring workflow. |
| Firmware / scope | Device firmware and BD-drive update tools are separate items. Match the fitted drive and version before considering an update. This review checked official listing details and filenames; installers, signatures, runtime and physical output were not tested. |
PP-100III and the shared manual scope
| Check | Evidence and next check |
|---|---|
| Exact model | PP-100III publishes CD/DVD/Blu-ray data and printed labels. The US support code is C11CH40001; the European product SKU is C11CH40021. Do not transfer PP-100NII networking features to this model. |
| Manual edition | The Windows guide is M00114200EN, 192 pages, copyright 2019, shared by PP-100III/PP-50II/PP-100AP. The Mac guide is M00113900EN, 151 pages. Keep PP-100AP print-only scope and PP-50II ink-pad instructions separate. |
| Editions | The European product page’s bundled Total Disc Maker 7.0 and older OS table differ from the current US 10.01 download listing. Distinguish the bundled edition, historical requirements and actual available files. An OS dropdown item alone does not prove a package is offered. |
USB status and program roles
| Check | Evidence and next check |
|---|---|
| USB | The product lists USB 3.0. Windows guide pages 154–155 show the negotiated USB 3.0/2.0 interface in Total Disc Monitor. A connection indication and successful writing/printing are separate checks. |
| Maker / Monitor | Page 20 separates Maker’s content/label jobs from Monitor’s job/device status. Setup registers the device and sets publishing mode, stackers and drives. Record the failing component in Monitor first. |
| Setting scope | Page 22 says settings opened from Maker apply there and are lost when it closes. Driver settings opened through Setup or the Windows Start menu are saved as defaults. Check this entry point when a setting appears to revert. |
Check a nozzle pattern from the computer
This is the PC-driver check on Windows guide pages 131–132. It is not a standalone button self-test and does not validate data writing. Use a separate suitable unprinted disc rather than an important master.
- Check for an unprinted disc in stacker 1, no error indication and a closed disc cover.
- Open the correct PP-100III Windows printer driver, select Utility → Nozzle Check and follow its prompts. Do not select another model or a drive-firmware tool.
- Compare gaps or missing pattern lines with the normal example. Missing segments can indicate clogged nozzles. Record label quality separately from writing/reading errors and use the exact manual for any required maintenance.
Mac guide pages 85–86 use Total Disc Utility → Printer Utility → Nozzle Check → Print. This is a separate menu path; historical screens do not certify current macOS support.
Disc type and loading direction
Guide pages 29/183 specify 120mm inkjet-printable discs; 80mm and thermal-transfer discs are unsupported. Follow page 35 with the printable side up and the stack below the dotted red line. Mixing CD/DVD and BD in one stacker can cause pickup errors. Match the actual media type with the type selected in Setup.
Checks for lights and status messages
| Check | Evidence and next check |
|---|---|
| Cover / pause | Page 147 separates open disc/ink covers from a job paused by opening a cover. Close covers and check job status. Pickup problems can share the same Error-light indication, so one lamp does not uniquely identify the cause. |
| Pickup / transfer | Pages 147–148 cover sticking discs, multiple feeds, transfer and arm-release failures. Do not force a disc out of the gripping arm. For repeated faults, record the status message and media type for official support. |
| Stackers | Pages 148–150 distinguish incorrect insertion, empty input, overload and full output. Stacker 3 requirements depend on the mode and its use setting. Check that configuration before inserting or removing it. |
| Ink / service | Pages 150–151 separate low/replacement ink and cartridge seating from the maintenance box. Printer maintenance error requires official service. The PP-50II ink-pad-full instruction is model-specific. |
| Writing / drive | Page 152 writing/reading and Invalid disc errors differ from label nozzle faults. Check blank status, capacity, damage and the media type selected in Setup. Repeated errors also need official drive-status review. |
No numeric error code is inferred. Read the complete Power/Busy/Error/Ink/Stacker combination together with Operation Guidance in Total Disc Monitor.
Choose the next check by cause
| Check | Evidence and next check |
|---|---|
| Driver / OS | Use this PP-100III official route to match model, OS and file role. |
| Software | First distinguish Maker, Bridge and firmware. |
| USB / settings | Check Monitor connectivity and setting scope. |
| Label gaps | Record the OS-specific PC nozzle check. |
| Disc loading | Check media type, direction and stack height. |
| Job / device | Record cover, stacker, ink and drive status with the message. |
