Badgy100 is an Evolis single-sided card printer. The May 2025 datasheet specifies USB 2.0 and 260×300 dpi. Its 1.35 mm white margin is intentional; Badgy200’s edge-to-edge printing is a different model feature. The documented connection here is USB, not an inferred Wi-Fi or Ethernet workflow. Choose software and check dated OS support

Windows print driver	Use Badgy 100 → DRIVER & FIRMWARE on the official support page. The exact current installer version, CPU payload and signature were not verified. Official Windows installation instructions.
Mac print driver	Review the selected Mac package on the same model page. A dated compatibility chart is not proof of operation on every newer macOS release or CPU.
Badge Studio	Card design software. Standard is supplied with Badgy100; database import and a manual double-sided printing wizard belong to Plus. The wizard does not add an automatic duplex mechanism. Compare Standard and Plus.
Linux / firmware	The November 2024 chart lists Badgy Linux drivers as supplied on request. Firmware is a separate device update; this guide does not prescribe it as a driver repair.

The linked compatibility chart is dated 12 November 2024: its Badgy100/200 column covers Windows 10/11 with the 22H2-or-later footnote and macOS 13–15. Linux RPM/DEB entries are request-only; the chart qualifies CentOS 8 and Debian 10 and excludes ARM from its supported Linux scope. These are dated manufacturer statements, not current package/runtime tests. No current Windows ARM, newer macOS, Linux distribution or mobile printing guarantee is made. USB installation order

For Windows, the linked model-applicable installation article says to finish the installer instructions and restart before connecting USB. Keep the printer disconnected until the requested stage. Select Badgy100 rather than another Evolis model. Preserve an existing working queue and record its port before an upgrade; this is a common host check, not a requirement to remove every printer.

Technical test card versus PC output

Using the 2022 guide: finish jobs and load a card/ribbon. Hold the control button four seconds until warnings go out; release, hold again and release when the button flashes. A technical card prints. The graphical test uses Print Center → System details → Testing cards. Official guide p26

Official sources and verification limits

Checked 17 October 2026. The procedural PDF is the 35-page Badgy100/200 guide User-Guide_BDG2_ENG_20220419_B0; fourteen full pages were visually reviewed. Current installer versions and package architecture remain unverified; use the exact Badgy 100 support page to check the selected file. The dated chart and 2025 datasheet are kept separate. No installer, firmware, registration, licence, permissions, security setting or physical-printer action was performed. Numeric error codes are not invented from indicator groups.
