This model prints through its dedicated instax SQUARE Link phone app. Distinguish it from the mini Link and Link WIDE apps.

Official apps and current OS

Check	What to check
Android	SQUARE Link · Google Play is published by FUJIFILM Corporation. Its current description says Android 11 or later; manual p4’s Android 7 is an older baseline.
iPhone	SQUARE Link · App Store currently describes iOS 16 or later, while its compatibility field lists iOS 14. The manual’s iOS 12 is older again. Do not treat 14 as confirmed; check the actual device’s store conditions.
PC route	USB-C is documented for charging on manual p4. The observed official PC tool selector lists WIDE/WIDE 2; this is not evidence of a SQUARE driver. The FAQ also restricts AR Print/instax Connect to phones.

Model, connection and film

Check	What to check
FI017W	The model number on the manual covers. Do not substitute mini/WIDE documentation or infer a model from its colour.
BLE	Bluetooth 4.2 is the specified print interface. The FAQ allows one connected phone at a time; compare app features and actual device requirements.
SQUARE	10-sheet packs; 62 × 62 mm image, 800 × 800 dots at 318 dpi. The specification’s roughly 12-second output time differs from film development time.

Connect the phone

Charge first, then hold the central instax power button for about one second. Open the SQUARE Link app.
In the app’s Bluetooth connection, select the printer matching the device name underneath. Check whether another phone already holds the connection.
Compare requested Bluetooth/nearby-device/photo access with the features you need. Do not apply every older permission instruction to every OS; consult the model connection FAQ.

Print a photo

After connecting, choose a photo in Simple Print and check the preview and quantity.
Tap the print icon or swipe the image upward. Keep the ejection slot clear.
Wait for ejection and operating sounds to stop, then hold the edges. Avoid shaking, folding or gripping the developing image.

Load SQUARE film

Manual p5: align the SQUARE pack’s yellow mark with the printer’s, then close the door; the black protective cover ejects automatically. mini/WIDE packs do not fit. Opening the door before the remaining sheets are used can expose them and produce white prints.

First distinguish whether power is on. These are manual p4/p6 indications, not numeric error codes. Charging takes roughly 80–120 minutes depending on conditions.

Function button and reprinting

Manual p10: hold the small upper function button for two seconds to reprint the last photo. This differs from the central power button. Powering off clears the printer’s reprint image; select the original photo again in the app.

For charging problems, check the p12 range of +5 to +40°C and power connection. Persistent device errors call for official support rather than an assumed driver replacement.

Official evidence and scope

Checked 2026-11-02. The English link filename says wwen, but its actual cover is NA_EN revision 03. Relevant pages of both 16-page manuals were reviewed. App installation, terms acceptance, phone-permission changes and physical printing were not tested.
