MT800 official driver downloads
Open the official HPRT Taiwan MT800 listing. Keep MT800Q, MT810 and other models separate, and review the file/OS limits below.
MT800 is a battery-powered 300 dpi portable A4 printer. “Inkless” does not mean consumable-free: match printing method, ribbon and paper.
Official files and OS scope
| Item | Listed scope and limits |
|---|---|
| Windows | Taiwan listing v2.7.2.14. Rev.2.2 lists Windows 10/8/7 SP1/Vista SP2 32/64-bit, XP Professional SP3 32-bit and Server 2012 64-bit, with installer 2.7.2.2 as an example. This historical list does not establish Windows 11 or ARM support. |
| Mac | The row says v1.1.1, while its linked filename contains mac-driver-v1.0.6 and Driver BT Tool_v1.1.1. Do not treat these as one print-driver version. The manual uses macOS 10.15 as an installation example, not a current macOS/Apple Silicon compatibility matrix. |
| Linux | Taiwan listing v1.2.1; check distribution and CPU requirements separately. This does not establish successful installation on every Linux host. |
| Windows Utility | V2.0.0.11 is a separate utility. Keep it distinct from the print driver; parameter or firmware changes are not mandatory installation steps. |
These are listing observations, not installation or signature tests. Legacy driver availability differs from OS security support.

Separate USB, Bluetooth and app paths
USB Type-C also carries the manual’s PC data connection. Check the fitted Bluetooth option and device marking; the regional 3.0/4.0 factory-fitted wording and manual’s 4.0 wording do not define every variant.
Scope difference: Rev.2.2 limits PC Bluetooth to Windows, while the current Mac link mentions a BT Tool. The filename alone does not resolve Mac Bluetooth printing support. Verify the package and manufacturer guidance. H-Print is the manual’s phone-app name; compare actual packaging and the official publisher.

Three-press power-button self-test
- Load matching ribbon and paper; close both ends and avoid the hot head.
- If off, use the approximately three-second power hold, then release once on.
- While powered on, press the power button three consecutive times for the self-check page. This differs from a three-second power-off hold.
- Common interpretation: compare device and host output. Self-test success alone does not establish Bluetooth, queue or driver operation.

Media limits, parallel feeding and removal
| Item | Check |
|---|---|
| A4 and print width | 210 mm paper width differs from the 198 mm effective print width; do not assume edge-to-edge output. |
| Thickness | The specified 60–90 μm is thickness, not paper weight in g/m². Use flat, approved stock. |
| Method and consumables | Specifications distinguish thermal transfer/direct thermal and standard A4/thermal fax paper. Transfer printing on plain paper needs the correct ribbon; verify the actual media and mode rather than assuming automatic switching. |
With ribbon fitted and power on, insert paper parallel to the inlet. One beep after automatic intake stops indicates loading completed. For removal, press both PUSH buttons and open the cover first; never force paper from a closed cover or open during printing.

Ribbon arrows, rewind wheels and folds
The guide describes RFID-authenticated ribbon. Before powering on, hold both wings and align the module arrows. Use the illustrated opposite-corner rewind wheels toward the center to smooth slack, then close the cover. Follow the diagram rather than turning arbitrary spools.

MT800 indicators and print-failure branches
Distinguish the front strip from the side blue lamp. These selected summaries are not numeric error codes or an exhaustive state list.
Eight LED groups: position, color and sound
| Indication | Meaning and first check |
|---|---|
| Front red flashing / beeps | Both low voltage and head overheating use this indication. Compare power and temperature; the lamp alone does not distinguish them. |
| Red slow flash / beeps | Paper jam or loading fault; check skewed feeding and the paper path. |
| Red steady | Cover-open entry: check both ends close correctly. |
| Red slow flash / silent | Ribbon-end entry; its buzzer condition differs from the paper-fault entry. |
| White steady | Standby/wake state, not proof of host communication or job success. |
| White slow flash | Indicates printing in the manual. |
| Green steady | Charging; full charge changes to white when powered on, or off when powered off. |
| Side blue lamp | Flashing means data reception; off means Bluetooth not connected. The steady-state label is “connecting”, not confirmation that a print job succeeded. |
No undocumented flash or buzzer intervals are assigned.

Eight print-failure causes and next steps
| Symptom | First check and next step |
|---|---|
| No light / no operation | Check the specified charging route and matching consumables. Circuit-board faults require dealer service. Relevant check → |
| Stops while printing | The manual identifies low battery and directs charging with the specified cable. Relevant check → |
| Skew / paper jam | Open using both PUSH buttons, remove paper and reload parallel. Do not force paper out with the cover closed. Relevant check → |
| Ribbon comes out | Use the illustrated rewind wheels to remove ribbon slack. Relevant check → |
| Missing print / white lines | Compare ribbon folds/damage and uneven paper; use suitable ribbon and flat stock. Relevant check → |
| No automatic intake | Check that both sides of the cover are fully seated. Relevant check → |
| Dirt / sensing decline | Use the separate head and sensor/platen/paper-path cleaning instructions. Relevant check → |
| Device test works / host fails | Common host check: compare the MT800 queue, actual USB/COM connection, compatible file and app paper settings. Follow this model’s driver guide for software causes. Relevant check → |

Charging, standby and actual power-off
Use the specified charger and USB Type-C cable; do not dismantle the unit for an unofficial battery replacement. Rev.2.2 describes five-minute idle standby/data-triggered wake and sixty-minute idle power-off in its Bluetooth-connection context. Standby and off differ; verify actual firmware/settings. No page yield or charging time is guaranteed here.

Cool the head; clean sensors and rollers separately
- Switch off; let the head cool about 2–3 minutes. Open the cover/ribbon assembly and remove paper and ribbon.
- Clean the head with a cloth, without touching or scratching its heated area.
- For sensors, platen and paper path, remove debris with a dry cloth/swab; use the manual’s medical-alcohol cloth/swab procedure for adhesive contamination. Do not pour liquid into the unit.
- Wait for complete evaporation and drying. The stated 1–2 minutes does not permit use while wet. Refer persistent faults to the dealer.

Official evidence and verification date
Verified 24 October 2026 against HPRT Taiwan’s exact MT800 product/specification/download pages and the official 75-page Rev.2.2 manual. Listing/version differences are disclosed above; installation, CPU execution, physical printing, reset and firmware changes were not tested.
