DP320 official drivers and rating checks
Compare the machine rating label and host operating system with the exact DP320 driver page. Its 220V/110V V2.1 entries are separate from the Win8/Win10 general V1.2 listing. A voltage label in a filename does not change the printer’s electrical rating.
Check DP320 identity and ribbon
Jolimark (映美) DP320 is a 24-pin impact dot-matrix printer. The official product table specifies 80 columns/203.2mm at 10CPI and ESC/PK2 emulation. Check the exact DP320 label and fitted ports before choosing a package for a differently named model. The manual’s ribbon specification is JMR111.

Voltage-specific V2.1 and general V1.2 listings
| Item | Check |
|---|---|
| 220V / V2.1 | DP320 Driver listing: Windows 98/XP/Vista/7/8, (220V)V2.1, displayed size 8.8M. Check the actual machine rating first. |
| 110V / V2.1 | A separate (110V)V2.1 entry lists the same OS names and 8.8M. Match the rating and manufacturer’s instructions; ask the dealer if the required distribution is unclear. |
| General / V1.2 | General Driver shows Jolimark Windows driver, Win8/Win10, V1.2. Its file link uses HTTP and is a shared package. This listing alone does not establish all DP320 functions or Windows 11, ARM or current macOS/Linux support. Confirm the exact OS, CPU and distribution with the manufacturer before installation. |
The manual’s Windows 2000/XP/Vista installation screens describe historical procedures. Check the actual host OS and manufacturer’s distribution scope before applying them today.
USB, parallel and serial connections
| Item | Check |
|---|---|
| USB | The manual uses the flat Type A end at the computer and square Type B end at the printer. Match the actual USB port and cable. |
| Parallel | Turn off both computer and printer before connecting. Lock the printer’s wire clips and secure the screws at the computer end. |
| Serial RS232 | Turn off both computer and printer, connect the serial cable and secure its screws. The product lists USB, parallel and serial; the manual makes connection dependent on the specific interface standard, so check the fitted ports. |
ASCII self-test with TEAR
Use paper at least 210mm wide for the ASCII self-test; narrower paper can let the head print directly on the platen. These are the cut-sheet steps in manual section 1.8.
- Turn the printer off, set the paper-select lever to cut sheet, and raise the paper guide upright.
- Hold TEAR while turning the printer on. At this paperless stage, the manual identifies blinking POWER and ONLINE off as paper out.
- Slide the left guide to the triangular mark and adjust the right guide to the paper width.
- Insert a cut sheet between the guides until resistance; the printer loads it automatically. Press ONLINE to start printing and keep the window closed during printing.
- Press ONLINE to pause printing.
- After printing finishes, eject the sheet with LF/FF or LOAD/EJECT, then turn the printer off to exit self-test.
Chapter 4 directs comparison of the computer, software and cable when self-test works, and dealer or qualified service assistance when the self-test itself fails.
Distinguish other power-on button modes
Table 2.2.6 assigns LOAD/EJECT + power to Chinese self-test, LF/FF + power to pin test, and TEAR + LF/FF + power to hex dump. Distinguish these from TEAR + power for English/ASCII self-test. Ordinary comparison does not require changing printer defaults.
DP320 print problem checks
Five indicator states and operating modes
ONLINE, POWER and speed indicators 1/2 have different roles. The following states come from table 2.1 and do not assign numeric fault codes.
| Item | Check |
|---|---|
| ONLINE / green steady | Online. If output is absent, compare host settings and cables in the cause checks below. |
| ONLINE / off | Offline. Check paper and the current operating mode. |
| ONLINE / green blink | The indicator table labels this Micro-Adjust. Interpret it with the active mode and button action; it is not a numeric error code. |
| POWER / red steady | Powered on. Red by itself does not indicate a fault. |
| POWER / red blink | Paper out or a malfunction. Check loaded paper, the selector and other symptoms before assigning a cause. |
Six cause checks
| Item | Check |
|---|---|
| Lights briefly on, then off | Section 4.1 checks a rating mismatch. If the printer rating and supply do not match, unplug immediately, contact the dealer and do not reconnect. If a mismatch is known before connection, do not plug it in. Check → |
| Error after changing paper path | After switching cut sheets/tractor paper, check the paper-select lever position. Turn power off before checking abnormal noise or jams; contact service if the problem persists. Check → |
| Printing sounds, blank or faint output | Check ribbon cartridge installation/wear and whether the gap is too large for the material. Match the gap-adjust lever to the actual printing material thickness. Check → |
| A line of dots is missing | Stop printing and contact the dealer or specified service centre because the head may be damaged. The manual distinguishes random missing dots, which may indicate a damaged ribbon. Check → |
| Self-test works, PC output fails | Chapter 4 points to the computer, software or interface cable. Check the driver’s model/settings and both cable ends. Common host comparison: also check the selected queue. Return to this exact DP320 listing for the package. Check → |
| Page boundary or position is wrong | Section 4.2 checks the printing home position and software page length against actual paper length. Compare document settings and paper before changing unrelated defaults. Check → |
Official evidence and verification scope
Verified 22 October 2026: exact DP320 product/driver pages and the 48-page English manual, with ten selected complete PDF pages and official web captures reviewed. Add five to an Arabic printed page number for its PDF position. Download details are observed listing labels; package contents, signatures and installation compatibility were not tested.
