Driver versions and CPU / OS scope
| Issue | Scope / next check |
|---|---|
| German package | The official listing links logiJET-TC8-3.1.5.22.zip. Its LOGIJET_TC8.inf contains DriverVer=12/08/2025,3.1.5.22: 8 December 2025 in INF date format. |
| US package | The US TC8 product page links 3.1.5.21.zip; its INF says DriverVer=02/27/2025,3.1.5.21. Compare the actual file and support requirements when regional listings differ. |
| CPU / OS | Both ZIPs contain i386, amd64 and ia64 folders plus Windows INF/GPD files. amd64 denotes x64; ia64 denotes Itanium, not ARM64. No ARM64 entry was observed. The list’s general Windows/Linux heading does not make these ZIPs Linux/macOS packages or approve every Windows release. |
Public ZIP listings and INF metadata read on 25 October 2026. No installation, execution, agreement, signature validation or physical print test occurred. A .cat file’s presence is not signature verification. Do not run DLLs or disable Windows protections.

USB, wired networking and fitted options
| Issue | Scope / next check |
|---|---|
| USB 2.0 | A standard host connection in the current datasheet; match the actual data port and cable. |
| Ethernet | Standard 10/100 Mbps TCP/IP. Compare the Status Sheet’s network address with the address used by the host. |
| Optional ports | RS232, RS422, IEEE 1284 Centronics and Wi-Fi are options. Not all interface options can be active simultaneously; confirm fitted hardware. |
| Before connection | Manual p.67 calls for printer, computer and attached devices to be off and unplugged before connecting the appropriate interface cable. |

Missing second colour: RGB and precision
The manufacturer’s 20 March 2025 Windows-driver notice describes choosing the second colour by RGB value or colour picker. At 100% precision the document colour must match exactly; the 90% default tolerates small differences. Check document colours, installed version and both ribbons.
The notice does not establish the feature for every older version or certify GHS/BS5609 compliance through colour settings alone. Check the actual media/ribbon and application requirements.

Four steps to print the device Status Sheet
- Load suitable media/ribbon and begin ON LINE. Press ON LINE/ESC to go OFF LINE and display Menu Level 1.
- Press ENTER to select Status Sheet.
- Press ENTER again to print the current configuration and font information.
- Hold ON LINE/ESC for longer than 2 seconds to return ON LINE. Compare the printed firmware, interface, IP and paper size with host settings.
This is the Edition 1.3 panel sequence. Confirm the menu on a different fitted panel. Printing a Status Sheet does not require Factory Default or Hexdump.

TC8 model, panels and two print units
TC8 is an 8-inch industrial thermal-transfer label printer with two print units. Current specifications list 300 × 300 dpi, USB 2.0/Ethernet and an MPC 8.x controller. Edition 1.3 describes both touchscreen and display/six-key layouts; fitted panels can differ.
Use manual chapter 5 for media/ribbon loading, section 8.1 for head/roller/sensor cleaning and 7.26 for density. Solvents, disassembly methods and universal calibration values are not inferred here.

Panel indications and configuration saving
| Issue | Scope / next check |
|---|---|
| POWER / ON LINE | On the display-and-six-key variant, POWER on means powered. ON LINE on means ready for host data; off means OFF LINE with panel keys active. |
| Touch panel | On the touchscreen variant an error message is accompanied by a red background. Read the message to identify the cause. |
| Saving settings | For finishing a configuration change, the manual distinguishes one ENTER for temporary use and two for permanent saving. Application/driver settings can override panel defaults. This differs from the Status Sheet print sequence. |

Labels, black marks and sensor adjustment
Match the actual Label (with Gap), Black Mark or Continuous media under Paper Menu → Paper Type. Gaps use the transmissive sensor; marks use the reflective sensor. After positioning sensors, Engine → Sync.Menu → Auto.Sens.Adj. adjusts sensor current and threshold for the material.
The sync sensors are at the rear print unit. Follow the material-specific paper/liner/mark prompts in the p.88 flowchart. If automatic adjustment fails, use section 7.2.3 or service assistance instead of random threshold values.

Seven groups of documented error messages
| Issue | Scope / next check |
|---|---|
| Load Paper / No Paper | Check media supply, loading and sensor dirt. |
| Foil Error! | Check ribbon presence and routing in both print units, including stuck consumables. |
| Head Open! | Check that the indicated printhead assembly is latched; reopen and close it normally. |
| HeadNot Found! / Head defectiv! / Head Life End! | These concern head connection, failure or service life. Record the message and use authorised service for wiring or replacement. |
| High Head Temp. | The head temperature is too high. Check correct consumable loading and refer persistent faults to service. |
| Cutter | The first concerns a selected cutter that is absent or faulty; the second is an operating error. Check fitted/selected options and media jams; use service for cutter disassembly. |
| Punch Error! / Sync. | Check the appropriate reflective/transmissive sensor position, dirt and scraps left after a jam. |
No numeric codes are assigned here. Spellings such as Head defectiv! follow the manual. Use authorised service for persistent faults and reconcile any output repeated after an error.

Cause checks and this model’s driver
| Issue | Scope / next check |
|---|---|
| Host only | If the device Status Sheet prints but host jobs fail, common host checks include cable, address, queue and selected driver. Check actual OS/CPU requirements at this TC8 download route. Check section |
| Missing colour | Separate the second unit’s ribbon checks from document RGB/precision matching. Check section |
| Light print | The guide checks both heads’ pressure, ribbon transport/tension, density and media/ribbon match. Record current values and follow the model procedure before adjustment. Check section |
| Too dark | Manual p.177 identifies reducing density; no universal numeric setting is assumed. Check section |
| Incomplete print | Separate head dirt from ribbon transport. Follow manual section 8.1.2 for cleaning; use service for head replacement. Check section |
| Skipped labels | Check media type, sensor position/adjustment, loading and remaining scraps. Check section |
| Ribbon wrinkles | Check both print units’ ribbon path/tension, head pressure and platen condition. Check section |
| Repeated labels | Automatic jam safety can reprint pages that were in the paper path; the count depends on format length and error position. Reconcile output before resending; do not change EEPROM settings casually. Check section |
