Find the official P21 app and manual
P21 prints through the NELKO mobile app. Check the model and connection before looking for a computer driver.
Official P21 support and manualP21: small direct-thermal labels at 203dpi
The P21 manual specifies Bluetooth, manual cutting and 203dpi direct thermal. It is for small labels, not 4×6 shipping labels or A4 documents; PM220/PL70E desktop features do not transfer.
App downloads and desktop-driver scope
| Item | Check |
|---|---|
| iOS / Android | Choose App Store or Google Play from NELKO’s app page. Current store OS requirements, installation and device compatibility were not tested. |
| Windows / macOS / Linux | P21 uses mobile app printing. No P21 desktop driver was verified; its USB-C cable does not provide PC printing. The generic app page’s computer-compatibility wording is not P21 support. |

In-app Bluetooth and charging-only USB-C
| Item | Check |
|---|---|
| Bluetooth | Enable phone Bluetooth and select P21 inside NELKO. The P21 FAQ says to connect in the app rather than pair first in system Bluetooth settings. |
| USB-C | Charging only. The manual specifies 5V 1A DC input. Keep charging lights separate from Bluetooth status. |
Match label direction, cover and app size
- Do not open during printing. Slide the top cover button sideways to open.
- Load P21 thermal labels printing side up, with the leading edge extending through the outlet.
- Close the cover and hold Power for two seconds to start.
- Match the actual label size and type in the app, then check a simple label.
Based on PDF pages 5–6 (printed 4–5). Keep clear of the cutter and hot head; do not dismantle.
Two presses for initial calibration versus the troubleshooting press
PDF page 6 describes a quick double press of Power for initial label positioning. Page 7 describes changing app paper type and pressing Power/Feed once for misalignment. These are different contexts; do not equate them or call either a diagnostic-report command. Ask official support if device behavior differs.
Start with the P21 symptom
Separate light states from possible causes below. Check app size and margins against the actual label.
Five light states: red does not identify one cause
| Item | Check |
|---|---|
| Flashing green | Charging. |
| Light off | Fully charged in the charging context; an unlit lamp alone does not prove power, connection or readiness. |
| Flashing red | Head overheating or low battery; the light alone does not distinguish the two. |
| Steady red | Cover open or paper out. |
| Steady blue | Bluetooth connected. |
From the status table on PDF page 6. No flash counts or numeric error codes are supplied there.
Six printing and connection checks

| Looking for a PC driver | Check the P21 app-only workflow and charging-only USB-C. Check details |
| Phone cannot find P21 | Check power, proximity and in-app discovery; disconnect the other phone first if already connected. Check details |
| Paper error / blank labels | Check stock, printing side up, leading edge and cover. Check details |
| Offset / skipped labels | Match app size/type and read the distinct position-control notes. Check details |
| Faint / lines / gaps | Check manual guidance on density, stock and head cleanliness. Check details |
| Red light / stopped job | Distinguish flashing from steady before checking battery/heat or cover/paper. Check details |
Faint output or lines: density and head care
PDF page 7 checks density, head contamination and stock quality. Use the hot-head warning on page 2 and P21 FAQ cleaning guidance together.
- Switch off and disconnect charging. Let the hot head cool before access.
- Gently wipe the head with a lint-free cloth or swab lightly moistened with alcohol.
- Let it dry fully before reloading and checking. No alcohol concentration or fixed drying time is specified here.
Verification date and remaining source differences
Checked 23 October 2026. The model-linked NELKO_P21_User_Manual_EN has 10 PDF pages. Its specification says gap stock, 15mm width (12mm available); the current product lists a 14×40mm included roll. Support-page continuous-label wording differs from the manual/P21 FAQ. Do not assume every continuous roll works; match the actual roll and app.
App installation, current minimum OS versions and physical printing were not tested. Generic app-page OS/PC wording is not exact P21 compatibility evidence.
