Official ideaMaker downloads for E2
Open official ideaMaker files and E2 guideE2 is an IDEX 3D printer. Prepare sliced print files with ideaMaker on the computer. RaiseTouch and Motion Controller firmware on the same page are separate components, rather than ordinary paper-printer drivers.
Choose the actual OS file
On 29 October 2026, the global page lists ideaMaker 5.5.3, released 21 October 2026. These are page and filename distinctions, not installation-test results.
| Check | Documented scope |
|---|---|
| Windows | The Windows entry links install_ideaMaker_5.5.3.8850.exe. Shared requirements specify 64-bit Windows; this guide has not verified an ARM64 payload, signature or installation. |
| Mac | Intel and Apple Silicon are separate choices, with intel.dmg and arm64.dmg filenames. Match the actual Mac processor. |
| Linux | Linux 64-bit offers a DEB named ubuntu_amd64.deb and an x86_64 AppImage. Those labels do not establish support for every distribution or ARM. |
Check current shared system requirements and the intended template on the official page. Older Quick Start screens do not certify a new package’s compatibility. No installer was rehosted or executed.
Select E2 and distinguish the two build volumes
| Check | Documented scope |
|---|---|
| IDEX | FFF with independent dual extruders. Select E2 and keep E2CF or Pro-series profiles and firmware separate. |
| Volume | Single extruder: 330 × 240 × 240 mm; dual extruder: 295 × 240 × 240 mm. This is not a derived per-object duplication-mode limit. |
| Filament | E2 uses 1.75 mm filament and lists a default 0.4 mm nozzle. Match material, nozzle and slicing template to the actual setup. |
| Flash | The linked Quick Start says 8 GB onboard flash; the August 2024 V3.6 sheet says 16 GB. Verify the actual revision. Neither figure is a USB-stick capacity limit. |
Three checks for a USB print job
This assumes the unit’s unpacking, X/Z shipping-lock removal and Setup guide have already been completed. The manual warns about hot nozzles, surfaces and moving parts. Screen-example temperatures are not universal material settings.
- In ideaMaker, choose the actual E2, 1.75 mm filament and the intended material. Import the model, check the template, support and platform addition, then Slice.
- The documented USB export contains .gcode and .data files. Confirm saving and eject the device; filenames outside the Western Latin set may not display correctly.
- Insert the device at the USB slot beside the touchscreen, then choose Print → USB Storage. Review the job parameters before Print. This is a 3D job, not a paper diagnostic report.
Distinguish USB storage and networking
| Check | Documented scope |
|---|---|
| USB | The route above selects files on USB storage. It does not establish that a USB cable creates a desktop printer queue. |
| WLAN | The Quick Start documents SSID/password selection and Add Other Network. Its factory 2.4G HT20 and 5GHz HT40 description is not an instruction to alter radio parameters. |
| LAN | The product and specifications list Wi-Fi and Ethernet. No guessed fixed-IP, router or firewall procedure is supplied here. |
When duplication or mirror output differs
| Check | Documented scope |
|---|---|
| Software | The E2 support article requires ideaMaker 3.5.1 or later for these modes. That feature requirement is distinct from current-OS runtime verification. |
| Model / mode | Select RAISE3D E2 in the first Printer menu, then Duplication or Mirror in Start → Print Mode. Compare the selected mode and arrangement before slicing again. |
| After repair | After parts have been replaced, the support article calls for bed flatness under 0.25 mm and nozzle-height difference within 0.15 mm. Use its official calibration guidance or support if unmet; no improvised adjustment is prescribed here. |

Normal progress and model previews
The Quick Start describes Welcome and Setup after booting. Home time, progress, height and Pause/Resume/Stop are normal job information and controls, rather than numeric fault codes.
PDF page 25 says the model image is shown when the uploaded file was sliced by ideaMaker. A missing preview alone does not establish a bad print file or failed printer; compare how the file was prepared.
Follow the matching E2 check
| Check | Documented scope |
|---|---|
| Software | E2 official downloads: choose the actual OS file and compare CPU / file types. |
| File list | The .gcode/.data export and filename and the USB Storage location are the documented checks. |
| Two parts | E2 / Print Mode and post-repair calibration conditions need to match. |
| Link | Common PC check: compare the actual WLAN/LAN or USB route and the selected device. |
| No preview | The ideaMaker preview condition should be checked before diagnosing a device fault from the picture alone. |
| Device | Initial Setup and safety conditions and the exact device display should be recorded for official support. |
