Find official WSP-R240 drivers

Use the exact WSP-R240 Downloads page to distinguish Windows Driver, development libraries/SDKs, the Bluetooth utility and manuals. The Windows Driver row displays 2.1.2, but its download link points to a driver user-manual PDF rather than an installer. Ask the manufacturer for the actual package with your exact model, OS, CPU and connection type.

Unit label and Rev6.3 scope

WSP-R240 is a 2-inch-class direct-thermal mobile printer. Rev6.3 specifies 203dpi, a 48mm print area and 58mm paper. Check the unit label and fitted interfaces; the manual identifies the A1 configuration as UART/Bluetooth. Do not substitute WSP-R241 or another hardware revision.

Driver, SDK and current OS limits

ItemCheck
Windows DriverListed as 2.1.2 for Windows XP/Vista/7/8/10, 32/64bit. The link filename is Woosim-Windows-Printer-Driver-User-Manual_Eng-v1.1-1.pdf. Driver and documentation versions are different. An installer, signature, Windows 11 support and ARM support remain unverified.
Library / SDKWindows Library 4.3.2 lists Vista/7/8/10 32/64bit; a separate 4.1.0 library lists Win CE, Pocket PC and Windows Mobile. These are application-development components, distinct from a Windows print-queue driver.
Mobile / other OSiOS SDK is listed as 2.2.0. The Android row says 2.2.0 while its linked ZIP filename says v2.6.1; payload version and current mobile-OS support are unverified. The manual’s Linux reference does not establish a current Linux or macOS installer. Historical MFi device names, including iPhone 3GS/4/4S, do not establish current iOS compatibility.

UART socket, Bluetooth and charging

ItemCheck
UART / mini USBPage 21 uses a 5-pin mini-USB-shaped socket for UART signals (RS-232C or TTL). Connector shape does not establish USB printer data support. Confirm the correct communication cable and electrical interface for the unit.
BluetoothPage 22 specifies Bluetooth 3.0, Class 2 and SPP. Page 21 says connecting the interface cable selects UART mode. Do not disconnect during transmission; check the intended communication path after work has stopped.
ChargingUse the dedicated charge connector and supplied adapter in pages 15–16. Switch the printer off for charging and do not remove its battery while charging. Battery installation or removal also requires the printer to be off.

Five steps for the printer self-test

This direct-thermal printer test helps compare the device with the host communication path. These are page-24 instructions, not results of a physical device test.

  1. Load suitable thermal paper correctly; see the loading guidance and pages 14/25.
  2. From power off, turn the printer on while pressing FEED to start the self-test.
  3. Check the printed settings and firmware version.
  4. Check the character pattern that follows.
  5. Wait for the test to finish automatically and return to standby.

Caution: page 23 describes holding POWER and FEED until five ERROR flashes as mode configuration. Do not keep holding that configuration combination for self-test. Holding FEED for more than one second while already on advances paper.

WSP-R240 Rev6.3 manual, pages 23–24

Four steps to load 58mm thermal paper

  1. Make sure no data is being received; changing paper during reception can lose data.
  2. Press the one-touch button and open the paper cover as shown on page 14.
  3. Place the roll in the orientation shown on page 14, with its end outside. Page 25 specifies the recording surface on the outside of the roll.
  4. Close the cover as illustrated and tear excess paper against the paper-door edge. This is a tear bar, not an automatic-cut instruction.

Page 25 specifies 58mm width, 60±5µm thickness and up to 40mm outside diameter. Avoid paper glued to the core, which can interfere with end detection. Do not open the cover or disconnect communication cables during printing or data transmission.

WSP-R240 print problem checks

Five printer and charger indications

These meanings follow Rev6.3 and distinguish separate indications. They are not a numeric error-code or flash-pattern table.

ItemCheck
POWER / greenPowered on and ready to receive data; not proof that a host job printed successfully.
ERROR / redA fault indication, including absent paper or an open cover. It does not identify one unique cause or a numeric code.
Bluetooth / blueBluetooth connection-status indication. This description does not establish individual flash meanings or successful application printing.
Battery / greenThe lamps indicate remaining battery power and decrease with use. Distinguish these from the charger’s completion light.
Charger / red-greenPage 16: red means charging; green means charging has finished. This is separate from the printer’s red ERROR lamp.

Six cause checks

ItemCheck
No powerCheck remaining battery power and the supplied charger. Follow pages 15–16 with the printer off for charging or battery handling. Check →
Red ERRORStart with the paper-absent and cover-open conditions on page 23. Do not open the cover during printing; check loading and closure after work stops. Check →
Paper advances, blank outputCheck direct-thermal paper and its recording-side orientation, then compare the page-24 self-test. Blank output alone does not establish a driver fault. Check →
Mini USB connection failsThe page-21 socket carries UART signals. Confirm the actual cable and RS-232C/TTL interface before selecting equipment by connector shape. Check →
Bluetooth output failsCheck whether an interface cable has selected UART mode. Do not unplug during transmission; compare the application’s intended Bluetooth path with the system provider. Check →
Self-test works, host failsCommon host checks: compare the queue, application, communication path, OS and actual package requirements. Return to this model’s official-driver guidance. If self-test is also abnormal, page 24 directs you to manufacturer service. Check →
