Driver, POS components and OS scope

ItemCheck
Windows Elite 4.64The official Drivers Windows ZIP contains one AURES Elite Printer Driver 4.64.exe. CRC and the file list were checked; the EXE was not run. The current product page lists Windows 10/11, but the ZIP name does not establish ARM support, inner-driver signatures or every OS build.
OPOS / JavaPOS / POS.NETThese serve particular POS applications and differ from a normal Windows print driver. VirtualCOM and the Android SDK have separate roles. Match the POS vendor’s model, port and component requirements.
Linux / Mac OSThe support page lists separate Linux, Linux 64bits and MAC OS files. Verify the actual distribution, macOS version, CPU and installation conditions per file. Wireless, Bluetooth and NFC menus in the shared utility manual do not establish those interfaces on this printer.

Three data interfaces and the cash drawer

ItemCheck
USB-BPC data connection; follow the manual’s printer-and-host-off cable connection order.
RS232Nine-pin serial connection. Match the POS port and actual communication settings; avoid arbitrary baud-rate changes.
Ethernet / DKEthernet is the network port. DK is a separate cash-drawer connection, not a telephone socket. Keep the specified power adapter separate from data connections.

Four paper-loading checks

  1. Finish incoming jobs and switch power off.
  2. Use the cover-open button and remove the old core.
  3. Fit thermal stock in the illustrated direction; avoid paper glued to its core.
  4. Pull out a short leader, close the cover and tear the protruding paper as illustrated.

FEED and ASCII self-test without the computer

  1. Load paper, latch the cover and switch off.
  2. Hold FEED while powering on; settings print, then pause at the mode menu, with ERROR on.
  3. Press FEED once for the ASCII test; completion and automatic cutting return it to receiving data.

At the mode menu, two presses select serial-speed configuration and three select hex dump. Keep them separate from the ASCII test. Comparing device and PC output is common diagnosis, rather than a definitive fault finding.

Wired checks in the shared configuration utility

  1. The shared utility guide recommends USB, interface selection and Check Communication; first match the actual supported device and utility.
  2. In Ethernet/TCP/IP Printer Configuration, compare the actual device address and MAC through Search/Read; do not copy the illustrated IP.
  3. Agree address, DHCP, port and Save changes with the administrator. Preserve queues and jobs while comparing the PC destination.

Compare indicators with paper and cover

Four PAPER / ERROR / POWER groups

PAPER and ERROR are red; POWER is green. Shared patterns are not unique faults or numeric error codes.

ItemCheck
All offPAPER off / ERROR off / POWER off: check power.
Green POWER onlyPower supplied, online and test rows share this pattern; it does not prove a PC job succeeded.
ERROR and POWER onPAPER off. Cover-open and paper-empty share this pattern: inspect both.
PAPER and POWER onERROR off: the roll is near its end.

Cool before cleaning; use the cutter diagram

Power off and let the head fully cool before using the specified alcohol swab; avoid touching or scratching it. English guidance says about ten minutes, while French says at least ten seconds: a short wait alone does not establish safe cooling. Follow the English post-cleaning wait and refitting sequence. For a stuck cover, avoid force; use the powered-off JAM diagram or seek dealer assistance.

Official sources and verification scope

Checked 23 October 2026. The 23-page English model manual uses PDF page=printed page+1. Twelve English, one French and three shared-utility pages were visually reviewed. Conflicting cooling, weight, environment and resolution fields were not merged into a single guarantee. No installation, licence acceptance, device setting changes or physical printing was performed.
