A1 official software downloads

The official A1 PC route slices and sends models with Bambu Studio. Compare the A1 profile, nozzle, material and connection rather than treating it as a document-printing Windows queue.

StableThe normal link identifies 2.8.2.61, while Beta identifies 2.8.4.57. Keep stable and test builds separate.
Windows / MacThe page lists Windows 10 64-bit+ and macOS 10.15+. This summary does not identify ARM64/Apple Silicon payloads or certify runtime compatibility.
LinuxFollow the official GitHub release link for Linux; check the particular release and package requirements.

Versions describe links observed on the check date; installers, trust and device runtime were not tested.

Exact A1 and connection routes

A1 is PF002-A, a filament 3D printer with a 256×256×256mm build volume. Keep its profile separate from A1 mini.

Wi-FiThe quick guide specifies 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. Check discovery on the same LAN and the actual connection.
microSDSelect card files on the printer. The A1 FAQ also requires a microSD card for jobs sent from Studio/Handy.
Account / LANThe guide’s Handy/QR account-binding route and the product’s LAN-mode option are distinct; match the chosen mode and prompts.

Recall scope and checks before use

The manufacturer’s US recall page covers A1 units sold before 30 January 2024 with A as the sixth serial-number character. Stop using affected units and follow official refund or trained-technician repair guidance; consumers must not replace the heatbed themselves. Check the appropriate regional guidance outside the US. This guide does not certify repair or clearance of an older unit.

Manufacturer US A1 recall notice

  1. Check the complete exact-A1 assembly guide and recall applicability. Do not connect power before assembly is complete.
  2. Quick-guide PDF p.18 shows 198mm rear and 90mm front clearance; allow for bed and cable movement.
  3. Keep hands clear of hot and moving parts; disconnect power for installation/maintenance and follow the manufacturer’s qualified-work instructions.

Compare built-in printing with the host route

Follow the A1 external-spool or AMS lite guide for the fitted setup. External-spool loading uses the screen’s Filament → Load prompts; AMS lite requires mapping actual slots to the file’s material properties.

  1. On an assembled unit cleared for use, check the build plate, loaded filament and microSD.
  2. Choose a supplied card model in Print Files. Match Use AMS and material mapping; review Bed leveling and Flow Dynamics Calibration prompts.
  3. Compare the built-in job with Studio’s Slice Plate → Print Plate route. A built-in model print is not an electronics self-test or proof of every network function.

White light near the screen and Assistant

CheckCheck and next step
White steadyThe A1 FAQ describes normal system status.
White flashingAn AI Assistant message needs review. Read the complete screen message; flashing is not one universal fault code.

This is the white body light near the screen, separate from the on-screen green filament indicator. If HMS displays a code, retain its full code/text and the associated manufacturer guidance.

A1 FAQ: indicator, microSD and first layer

Material, plate and first layer

For first-layer problems, compare the current plate, material and A1 slicing profile. The A1 FAQ recommends automatic bed leveling after a plate change. The AMS lite guide separately limits ordinary flexible TPU/TPE, absorbent PVA and some reinforced materials; match the exact material. Preserve exact messages for clogging, heating or power issues and consult official support.
