Lemur-Z driver downloads
Lemur-Z is a direct-thermal kiosk ticket/receipt printer with a cutter and presenter. Match the exact unit and ordered configuration. Product specifications list 203 dpi with a 300 dpi premium option; do not select a generic 600 dpi queue because a shared driver menu offers one.
Choose the correct software route
Checked 16 October 2026. Open Printer Drivers on BOCA Support, rather than the configuration-program or SDK downloads above it. Confirm with the ticketing-software supplier whether its workflow uses an OS driver or direct FGL commands. Package internal versions, signatures and runtime are untested.
| Task | Official route | Scope |
|---|---|---|
| Windows standard | Windows installation guide | 64-bit PC guide, covering Windows 10/11; this document excludes ARM. Wait for the USB connection step. |
| Windows ARM | Separate ARM guide | Current support offers a separate ARM route. Its wording differs from the model manual’s general ARM exclusion; do not treat that exclusion as a universal current ban or this listing as an installation-tested guarantee. |
| Mac | Mac driver notes | Shared FGL notes; current macOS releases and Intel/Apple Silicon requirements remain unverified. |
| Linux | Linux driver files | Choose distribution, CPU package and actual head resolution; the page lists DEB/RPM and separate ARM/Pi choices. Confirm CUPS first; listed choices are not a test on this unit. |
| Configuration / SDK | BOCA Support | Separate communications and integration tools; they do not automatically replace the print driver or verify fitted hardware. |
Fitted interfaces and FGL
Standard serial and USB differ from optional Ethernet, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Check the rear connectors and order record. FGL is the listed standard protocol; legacy PCL instructions are not interchangeable. Preserve queue/port details before changes. No network interface is implied by a shared software menu.
Lemur-Z printing and presenter checks
Device TEST print before PC diagnosis
After power-up, wait five seconds for the cutter cycle. Load appropriate media; once it positions and READY is green, press the centre TEST button for a self-test. Compare this device print with a small host job. Holding TEST during power-up resets settings and is a different action; do not use it as a routine driver fix.
Manual PDF p9Five indicator conditions
| Indicator | Meaning / check |
|---|---|
| DATA green | Data received; this does not establish a completed print. |
| READY green | The unit is ready; compare media and host job if nothing prints. |
| CHECK PAPER on | Check missing stock; if stock is present, inspect sensing and available loop space. |
| PAPER JAM blinking | Inspect the paper path and presenter; use the exact jam procedure. |
| Both red indicators blinking | Cutter failure context; stop repeated jobs and consult support. Manual numbered troubleshooting items are not error codes. |
Eight cause checks
| Situation | Check | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| Self-test works, PC job fails | Common host check: FGL workflow, correct queue, USB/serial port and actual system package. | Lemur-Z driver downloads |
| Media will not load | Check a flat leading edge, both head latches and a guide that does not pinch stock. | Media path |
| CHECK PAPER with stock loaded | Check sensor exposure to sunlight/IR and clearance for the receipt loop. | Manual PDF p24 |
| Paper jam / short last receipt | Inspect trapped scraps and the route to presenter rollers. Service access requires power off/unplugged and qualified staff. | Manual PDF p17 |
| Tickets skip / cut position drifts | Match black marks, fitted sensor and receipt/ticket mode; compare guide and roller condition. | Sensing mode |
| Cutter fails or does not cut through | Check both latches and accessible blockage; cutter repair and repeated faults need service. | Manual PDF p28 |
| Faint output / white voids | Compare suitable thermal stock and head condition before changing drivers; maintenance follows the exact manual. | Manual PDF p30 |
| Uncollected printout not retracted | Check the ordered retract feature and the clear area below its exit; it is not enabled on every unit. | Retract conditions |
Guide, sensing and loop clearance
The external guide must let stock move freely. Black marks face the sensor as shown for the fitted guide; receipt-only units may lack that sensor. Match receipt stock without marks versus marked tickets before changing a mode. Receipt loops need overhead space of roughly half the receipt length. Have the integrator review a layout that cannot provide this clearance.
Manual PDF p13 / Manual PDF p15 / Manual PDF p21 / Manual PDF p24Confirm the ordered retract feature
The product overview describes retraction, but manual p5 says orders from 16 October 2025 must request it and the default is disabled unless specified. Confirm the actual build/order before expecting retrieval. If fitted and configured, leave the lower retract exit unobstructed. Do not send configuration commands simply to test a driver problem.
