Separate GENIUSPRO, drivers and member access
| Check | Documented checks |
|---|---|
| Access | The official service/software pages direct GENIUSPRO and updates through MyCembre registration/member access. Product information lists bundled printing software and a universal driver; no particular installer version or size has been verified before login. |
| USB key | The exact manual describes software and necessary drivers on FD-GENIUSPRO media. Confirm your unit’s original media and use the manufacturer route for current files. Label projects, the PC print driver and firmware have different roles. |
| OS / CPU | Current shared GENIUSPRO requirements list Windows 7/8/10/11, a fourth-generation Core i3, 4GB RAM, 2GB disk and 1280×1024. The manual separately lists Windows 7/8/10 32/64-bit. Neither establishes ARM, Mac, Linux or successful operation of an individual current driver. |
Listed older operating systems do not imply ongoing security support. No account creation, trial activation, licence acceptance or installer execution was performed in this research.
Confirm ROLLY3000 and the applicable print area
| Check | Documented checks |
|---|---|
| Model | The official product is the 300dpi ROLLY3000 thermal-transfer roll printer for cable markers and labels. Do not substitute ROLLY3000WR, MG4 or another brand’s SQUIX procedures. Shared software colour features do not establish colour printing on this model. |
| Width | The current product table says 105×2000mm while the English manual says up to 110mm wide. Do not automatically apply the larger value; confirm your unit and media limits with CEMBRE. |
| Handling | Check the unit’s regional power label and grounding requirements. Switch affected devices off before cable work and let the head cool before handling media. Protected settings and internal casing adjustments are outside routine installation. |
Distinguish the PC USB port from hosts and network
| Check | Documented checks |
|---|---|
| USB | Rear-view item 24 on manual page 7 is the USB slave for the PC. Items 23/27 are USB masters for peripherals, memory or service; do not choose a PC cable by appearance alone. |
| Ethernet | Item 25 is Ethernet 10/100 and item 26 is RS-232. Compare the actual interface, reachable printer address and PC queue port. A working USB path does not establish that the LAN path is configured. |
| Wi-Fi | Current product information includes a 2.4GHz 802.11b/g/n USB-WLAN key. Check the actual manufacturer key and network conditions. A USB Bluetooth-adapter entry in the manual does not certify arbitrary Bluetooth/USB dongles. |
Paper-feed check and conditional peel/cut synchronization
At startup the device checks itself and displays Ready; this is not a printed configuration report. The following page-18 synchronization applies after media loading when using peel-off or cutting mode.
- Check the correct stock, any required ribbon, head lock and fitted output device; check existing jobs first.
- Use the touchscreen’s green down-arrow feed control to synchronize; the first sensor-detected label moves to the print position.
- After feeding stops, remove the discharged blank labels without reaching into a moving cutter/head; compare the actual job size and result.
The manual says synchronization is unnecessary if the head was not opened between jobs, even after power-off. Repeated calibration is not prescribed for every feeding problem. Successful feeding does not verify the PC driver or print quality.
Match the sensor to the actual mark and label format
The sensor must cross the actual gap, reflex mark or perforation. Page 15 gives different positions for TPM-ROLL, ETF-ROLL and KM-ROLL. Some KM-ROLL versions use a transverse black line instead of a side perforation, requiring central alignment. Do not apply the continuous TTF/STRIP-ROLL example to ordinary gap labels.
No label found can concern missing labels, a mismatched software format or continuous stock configured as labels. Page 23 also links every-second-label printing to a software size that is too large. Record the stock, job dimensions and sensing, then compare each item.
Check the exact display wording
These eight selected message groups come from pages 21–22; they are not numeric codes or LED flash counts. Clear the cause before choosing the applicable resume/cancel action; Ignore is not a general remedy.

|---|---|
| Barcode | For Barcode error, check content/character rules; for Barcode too big, compare size with the label area. Reinstalling a driver does not correct invalid barcode data. |
| Label size | For No label found / No label size, compare actual labels/continuous stock and the software format definition. |
| Paper | For Out of paper, check roll exhaustion and the feed path, including whether the sensor crosses the actual mark. |
| Ribbon | Out of ribbon concerns ribbon supply/transfer mode; Remove ribbon concerns ribbon loaded while direct thermal is selected. First match the supplies and intended print method. |
| Ink side | For Ribbon ink side, compare loading/unwinding direction with the setup. Do not pull forcibly or invent a tension adjustment. |
| Head open | For Printhead open, check the head lock without touching hot or moving parts. |
| Head hot | For Printhead too hot, the manual describes automatic continuation after cooling. For recurrence, review job heat/speed against manufacturer guidance and seek support. |
| Memory | For Memory overflow, reduce excessive graphics/fonts or job data. It differs from an input Buffer overflow; memory formatting or factory reset is not a general step. |

|---|---|
| PC job | This ROLLY3000 official driver route and the actual PC queue/port are common checks. |
| Files | Check GENIUSPRO / driver / OS and the actual member-area file requirements. |
| Feed | Check device feed / synchronization conditions separately from a PC print job. |
| Link | Compare PC USB / LAN / WLAN with the actual fitted hardware. |
| Skipping | Check marks / sensor / job dimensions using the same stock. |
| Message | Check actual display wording and record the label/ribbon combination. Persistent vertical voids or mechanical faults need official support; internal head repair is not prescribed here. |

Checked 30 October 2026. The 28-page English PDF has cover code 17M165E_0126. Its actual ROLLY3000 cover was checked rather than relying on the SQUIX search/metadata title. OS and width differences were kept separate. No physical installation, feeding, settings transfer or firmware execution was performed.
