VKP80III official downloads

Open the official product’s Models section. Choose Support beside the code on your label; Custom4U then shows the selected product. Open Drivers for print software or Manuals for English User manual for VKP80III 2.65 (762000000003_2.65.PDF). The support view is selected through the manufacturer’s product button; a generic portal homepage or the datasheet is not the driver file.

VKP80III is a thermal receipt/ticket printer for kiosks. Confirm the product code and fitted ports: the shared model name covers USB/RS232 side or rear connectors and an Ethernet/USB variant. Official product

Software and package selection

SoftwareSelection and limits
Windows print driverThe selected VKP80III ETH support view lists Windows driver for VKP80III family 3.13, dated 13 June 2025. The separate silent installer 3.50 is explicitly for VKP80 II emulation. Match the configured emulation and intended installation route; the larger version number is not automatically the right driver.
Linux CUPSThe model’s CUPS listing is 2.18, dated 1 July 2025, labelled i686, x86_64, ARM32 and ARM64. These are vendor listing targets; archive contents, dependencies, signatures and operation on a current distribution were not inspected.
Virtual COMWindows Virtual COM Silent Installer 2.02 (9 June 2025) and Linux Virtual com 1.03 (18 March 2022) serve a serial-style software path. They are different from the ordinary print driver. Check the existing USB Class and kiosk software before changing anything.
SDK / other host systemsManual p.34 lists Android API and iOS API SDKs; the iOS footnote is limited to VKP80III ETH. SDK support is not proof of AirPrint or arbitrary phone-app printing. An exact current Mac package was not verified; ask the supplier before promising that host path.

Listing checked 18 October 2026 without downloading an installer. Manual p.34 lists Windows 10 32/64-bit and Windows 11 64-bit, but no current Windows ARM64 payload or OS-build runtime was verified. Firmware, PrinterSet configuration and XFS/OPOS/JavaPOS integration serve separate purposes. Use the current package’s own instructions; do not update kiosk firmware as a generic driver repair.

Identify the fitted connectors

Product codeFitted variant
915DX010100J00Current product: ETH + USB, side connectors. Manual VKP80III ETH shows Ethernet and Mini-USB (pp.16,27).
915DX011700300Current product: USB + RS232, rear connectors. Compare the manual’s RX65 REAR layout and the actual label (pp.11,26).
915DX011900300Current product: USB + RS232, side connectors. Compare the manual’s RX65 LAT layout and the actual label (pp.11,25).

USB and RS232 are not two simultaneous receiving paths: on the serial variants the manual says USB takes precedence when both communication cables are connected (pp.25–26). Ethernet belongs to ETH; the low-paper and expansion connectors are not LAN ports. USB Class can be Printer, Mass Storage or Virtual COM (p.72); compare it with the host’s expected path. The same page marks DHCP Disabled as its documented default for ETH, so do not assume a newly connected unit obtains an address automatically. Read the actual report and ask the network administrator; do not copy its sample IP. Wi-Fi/Bluetooth were not established by these exact sources.

VKP80III printing checks

Paper loading and standby keys

Use suitable thermal stock with its heat-sensitive face outward. Manual p.98 gives 50–82.5 mm without the roll-holder support, but 60–82.5 mm with the optional holder or shutter. After the documented guide/sensor adjustments, close the cover before inserting paper into the inlet; the device loads and cuts automatically (pp.48–50). This is not a jam-clearing procedure. In standby, a short LINE FEED advances the preset length. A short FORM FEED prints a demo only when Black Mark Position is Disabled; when enabled it performs ticket alignment (p.21). A blank feed or alignment is not itself a failed print test.

Print a setup report without editing parameters

For a planned local check, stop kiosk/host jobs, prepare suitable stock and have an authorized operator use the normal power procedure. From power off, hold LINE FEED (LF) while applying power: the setup report prints (pp.63–64). After the report, a short FORM FEED (FF) skips setup; LINE FEED would enter parameter editing (pp.19–20,65–66). Holding FF at power-up instead prints the font test. Read the actual model, INTERFACE, memory/cutter tests and SCODE firmware release (pp.70,119). The ETH report includes network fields. Protect device identifiers before sharing and keep settings unchanged. A local report is a diagnostic clue, not proof that the application, queue and network all work.

Sixteen LED states

Manual p.22 distinguishes color and count together. Green groups describe communication, yellow recoverable conditions and red unrecoverable faults. A count alone is ambiguous: yellow ×2 means overheating, while red ×2 means an ejector bulkhead fault. For red faults, record the pattern and seek authorized service instead of reinstalling drivers or repeatedly forcing the mechanism.

Color / countDevice condition
OffDevice off.
Steady greenDevice on with no error indicated.
Green × 1Receiving data.
Green × 2Reception error: parity, framing or overrun.
Green × 3Command not recognized.
Green × 4Command reception timeout.
Yellow × 2Printhead overheated.
Yellow × 3Paper end.
Yellow × 4Paper jam.
Yellow × 5Power-supply voltage incorrect.
Yellow × 6Cover open.
Red × 1Ejector roller fault.
Red × 2Ejector bulkhead fault.
Red × 3RAM fault.
Red × 4External flash fault.
Red × 5Autocutter fault.

Four ticket issue modes

ModeWhat happens
EJECTThe ticket is printed, cut and directly ejected (pp.52–53).
PRESENTThe cut ticket is partly presented for the user to take (pp.54–56).
PRESENT / RETRACTA partly presented ticket waits for the configured time and is then retracted/collected if not taken (pp.56–58).
COLLECTThe printed ticket is cut and collected internally without presentation at the mouth (p.59).

These four behaviors depend on configuration and commands from the kiosk application. A missing ticket at the mouth, or one that moves back inside, is not by itself evidence of a Windows driver failure. Have the integrator compare the intended mode before changing it; this guide sends no presenter or cutter commands.

Information to give technical service

For persistent faults, provide the actual product code, serial number and hardware revision from the label, plus the SCODE firmware release from the setup report (p.119). The manual’s support destination is Custom4U. The kiosk integrator should handle access to enclosed mechanisms; do not substitute another VKP model’s reset or cutter sequence.

Official sources and scope

Checked 18 October 2026 against the exact current product, public Custom4U support for 915DX010100J00 and the 120-page English manual Rev.2.65, part 76200000000300 (listing 4 June 2024). Printed and PDF page numbers match. Thirty-one relevant full pages were visually reviewed. The product page calls the resolution 200 dpi and the manual 203 dpi; both state 8 dots/mm. Their speed/head-life values also differ, so this guide does not harmonize them into a universal performance or queue guarantee. No printer, installer, firmware, network or security setting was changed; package CPU/signature/runtime and physical printing remain untested.
