Exact Windows/Linux files and separate Utility
| Item | Check |
|---|---|
| Windows 1.8.2 | The exact-model list offers Driver de Windows i9 FULL2_V1.8.2, linked as an EXE. This is a listing label; current Windows builds, CPU targets, signatures and installation remain unverified. |
| Linux 1.2.6 | Driver de Linux i9 FULL2_V1.2.6 is a separate ZIP entry. The manual’s Linux CUPS wording and the ZIP name do not establish distribution, CUPS-release or ARM support. |
| Utility 1.2.2.41 | Software Utility V1.2.2.41- i9 FULL 2 is a separate configuration tool. The quick guide uses USB plus Utility for Ethernet parameters; it has a different role from the print driver. |
Although the site groups these files under Manuais, distinguish drivers, documents and tools by their names and file types. The specification’s “recent Windows” wording is not an exact OS/CPU matrix. This list alone does not establish Mac or mobile support.
USB, Ethernet, RS-232 and the setup sequence
| Item | Check |
|---|---|
| USB | Use the actual i9 FULL 2 data port and PC. The quick guide connects power, loads paper and connects the PC before power-on and driver installation. Switch power off before connecting or disconnecting communication cables. |
| Ethernet / RS-232 | The manual lists standard LAN and RS-232. Its quick-guide Ethernet setup first connects USB to the PC and uses Utility to set network parameters. Preserve the actual address and shared settings before changes. |
| Drawer / power | The cash-drawer connector is separate from the PC network interface. Use the supplied Elgin power source for this product. For its locking power plug, grip the connector sides rather than pulling the cable. |

Two self-test steps, separate from PC printing
This is the exact i9 FULL 2 manual’s page 14 procedure. A device self-test is separate from proof of the PC queue or driver installation.
- Load paper correctly and connect the power source, with the printer switch OFF.
- Hold FEED while switching the printer on. The manual says a self-test page prints automatically.
The procedure specifies no timed hold or release signal, so none is invented here. If self-test works but PC jobs fail, check the same model’s driver and connection.
Three roll-loading steps and accessible paper jams
- Switch off and press the cover-release button.
- Fit the roll in the unwinding direction shown on manual page 12, check its heat-sensitive print face and lead the paper over the front outlet.
- Close the cover. The manual specifies paper width 79.5±0.5mm and maximum roll diameter 83mm; these differ from the 72mm printing width.

For a jam, page 18 switches power off and opens the lid with the left-side release below yellow FEED. Remove accessible jammed paper, reload the roll and close the cover. Avoid the hot head and blade; page 17 directs service for a stuck cutter or persistent incomplete cutting.

Six conditions: LED combinations can overlap
| Item | Check |
|---|---|
| Paper loaded | Page 13: Power ON, Error OFF, Paper OFF, silent. This does not certify a successful PC job. |
| Cover open | Page 13: Power, Error and Paper all ON. Check and close the cover. Paper-out has the same LED combination. |
| Paper out | Page 13: Power, Error and Paper all ON. Check for an installed roll and correct loading. |
| Paper near end | Page 13: Power ON, Error OFF, Paper ON, silent. Prepare a replacement roll. |
| Cutter jam | Page 13: Power ON, Error flashing, Paper OFF. Switch off and follow accessible paper-jam recovery. A stuck cutter or persistent incomplete cut needs service. |
| Head overheating | Page 13 has the same LED combination as cutter jam. Page 16’s overheating action is power off and wait five minutes. Do not touch a hot printhead. |
The beep descriptions on pages 13 and 16 differ, so a beep count is not assigned as a unique error code. No unverified numeric service codes are created. Compare cover, stock, heat and the full symptoms.

Six cause checks
| Item | Check |
|---|---|
| PC jobs only | Common host check: if self-test works, compare the actual USB/network connection, selected queue, model and OS package. Check → |
| Paper LED on | Compare near-empty versus missing stock and cover closure. Check → |
| Blank / faint output | Check thermal-paper orientation and loading first. Page 17 separately lists contamination and low density; these are not automatically driver faults. Check → |
| Connection mix-up | Separate USB, LAN, RS-232 and the drawer port. The quick-guide Ethernet configuration uses USB plus Utility. Check → |
| Flashing Error | Cutter jam and overheating share the LED combination; compare the paper path and recent operation. Check → |
| Paper jam / stuck cutter | Switch off and clear only accessible paper, then reload. Use Elgin service for a stuck cutter or repeated faults. Check → |
