RT700i Pro official driver downloads
Use User manual on the exact Pro product page and the separate Driver listing. Keep RT700i, RT700i+ and RT730i Pro distinct.
Exact RT700i Pro and connection scope
| Item | Verified scope |
|---|---|
| Model / method | RT700i Pro: 203 dpi, thermal transfer/direct thermal. RT730i Pro is the separate300 dpi model. |
| Print / media width | 108 mm maximum print width differs from20–118 mm media width; media thickness0.06–0.2 mm. |
| Wired ports | USB2.0 TypeB, RS-232, Ethernet10/100Mbps and two TypeA USB Host ports have distinct roles. |
| Wireless / options | Wi-Fi/Bluetooth use supported USB dongles; this is not universal dongle compatibility or built-in radio. Cutter/dispenser are optional. |
Drivers, design tools and PDF printing
| Role | Current listing and limits |
|---|---|
| Windows | Shared listing: Godex 12.4.0, labelled Win7/8/10/11 and Server2008/12/16/19/22. Check RT700i Pro and the actual package OS/CPU requirements. |
| Linux | CUPS 1.1.15 is listed; this does not establish installation on every distribution/CPU. |
| Mac | Shared macOS CUPS 1.1.15 listing; verify exact macOS release and Apple Silicon execution from package requirements. |
GoLabel II is Windows label-design software for EZPL; drivers and firmware serve different roles. Direct PDF printing is a separate product feature, not proof that all applications work without drivers. Old CD wizard images do not establish current OS installation.
Connect the host with printer power off
The manual connects the specified supply and USB/serial host cable with the printer off, then powers on. Follow the selected package’s installation prompts. As common host checks, compare actual USB/COM/network queue ports and preserve working network settings.
Stock, ribbon, sensors and blank or shifted output
Match direct thermal stock with that mode, or transfer stock and ribbon with thermal transfer. Check printable face, ribbon, guides and sensor obstruction. The central transmissive sensor and movable reflective sensor serve the relevant gap/black-mark path. Feeding alone does not prove image output.

FEED: advance, pause and cancel
Ordinary FEED advances one individual label; continuous media feeds until release. During printing, a short press pauses and displays PAUSE; another resumes. Holding FEED for3 seconds during printing cancels the current print job. Distinguish pause from cancel before resending a job.
Calibration stores label height and prints a self-test
- Load the intended media correctly and turn power off.
- Power on while holding FEED; release it when the LED starts flashing red.
- The printer measures and stores label height, then prints a self-test after successful measurement.
- Compare model, actual interface and media values with the host job; do not copy sample report settings.
This changes stored media height; it differs from ordinary FEED and factory reset.
RT700i Pro label-error checks
Seven LCD messages in the Pro manual
| Message | Meaning / next check |
|---|---|
| Printhead Open | 2×4 beeps: check that the print mechanism closes correctly. |
| TPH overheat | No beep; hot head returns to standby after cooling. |
| Check ribbon setting | 2×3 beeps: compare missing/finished/non-moving ribbon with the actual print mode; direct thermal requires that mode. |
| Check Media | 2×2 beeps: paper absence/end and feed/sensing faults share this entry. Check sensor alignment and gap/black mark before calibration. |
| Memory full | Review stored data and available space; identify required files before any deletion. |
| File name can’t be found | Compare the referenced stored file and exact name. |
| File name duplicated | A same-name file exists; choose an appropriate distinct name. |
Some illustrations in the Pro manual reuse RT700i+ labels. These entries follow the Pro document’s message explanations, without inferring physical firmware versions or numeric codes.

Full storage, missing names and duplicate names are distinct. Inspect source files, exact names and what must be retained before managing data. No deletion, memory installation or reset is performed by this guide.
Head cleaning: power off, cool and remove ribbon
The safety page requires a half-hour wait after power-off before handling parts. The cleaning section turns power off, opens the cover, removes ribbon, and cleans head residue with a soft lint-free alcohol-dampened cloth. It recommends weekly cleaning; exclude hard particles and metal fragments. Avoid cutter blades and seek dealer service for persistent or unlisted faults.
