Select the Windows 10/11 driver row that explicitly includes TT431. Distinguish other printers, legacy OS files and firmware.

Official files and OS selection

CheckEvidence and next check
WindowsThe current listing explicitly includes TT431 in the Windows 10/11 ZIP, shown as 98.11MB. Its linked filename is ht_printdriversetup_en_v1.2.2.30_120326.zip. A filename alone does not establish release date, CPU targets or successful installation.
Legacy OSThe Windows 7/8.1 entry is a separate 4.34MB file. The 2019 manual’s historical Vista/Server requirements do not establish current package support. Check the actual OS, CPU and installation rights.
ToolsThe print driver serves the output queue, TagPrint Pro designs labels, and firmware updates the device. Their shared listing does not make firmware an ordinary connectivity remedy.

TT431 identity and options

CheckEvidence and next check
ModelThe exact manual covers TT431, article 556-00400; check the rear rating plate. It is an industrial thermal-transfer label printer specified at 300dpi, up to 105.7mm print width and 150mm/s.
InterfacesIn the rear diagram, PC USB is slave port 21, Ethernet is 22 and RS-232 is 23. USB host ports 20/24 serve accessories such as keyboards, scanners or memory. A Wi-Fi/Bluetooth status symbol does not prove that an adapter is fitted.
OptionsCutters, perforation cutters and external supply accessories are optional. Do not apply a cutter procedure to a machine without one. Match approved material/ribbon combinations to the fitted hardware.

PC connection and setup order

The manual orders placement, driver installation, connection, OS printer registration and TagPrint Pro installation. Common PC checks: compare the TT431 queue, port and approved network while preserving working settings and other users’ jobs. Use the PC USB device port, not an accessory host socket.

READY and three checks before output

Section 5.4 describes an automatic system test and READY after power-on. These are readiness checks, not a separate self-test report menu.

  1. Confirm TT431/556-00400 on the rating plate and the actual PC port. Follow section 5 and site procedures for initial placement and connection.
  2. Check material, ribbon mode and head locking. After connections are complete, power-on performs an automatic system test and displays READY or an error.
  3. Record READY or the exact message. Resolve device errors before trying a small label job of your own to compare PC output and material travel. READY alone does not verify the PC driver or label format.

Labels, sensors and ribbon

CheckEvidence and next check
MaterialSection 6.1 loads the roll printable side up, routes the strip beneath the guide roller and sensor, then locks the head. Keep the cover closed during printing and observe the hot-part and moving-part precautions when changing material.
SensorMatch gap, reflection or perforation sensing to the actual stock. Compare continuous versus die-cut mode and label length. The manual associates alternate-label skipping with an oversized software format.
RibbonDirect thermal mode uses no ribbon. Thermal transfer needs compatible stock and ribbon; the manual places the coating side down as it unwinds. Compare ribbon path/winding with the selected print mode.

Checks for the actual error message

CheckEvidence and next check
BarcodeBarcode too big concerns the allocated print area; Barcode error concerns invalid content. Check size/position separately from the symbol’s character rules.
PrintheadThe guide maps Printhead folded down to an unlocked head, and Printhead too hot to overheating. Printing resumes after cooling; recurring heat faults require a heat/speed review. Avoid touching the head or moving parts.
Ribbon faultRemove film means ribbon is loaded in direct thermal mode. Out of ribbon may involve exhaustion, melted ribbon, or thermal stock used with a transfer-mode setting.
Label / stockFor No label found, distinguish missing labels, format mismatch and continuous-stock mode. For Out of paper, distinguish an empty roll from a feed problem. Correct the cause before using the offered screen action.
Data volumeBuffer overflow concerns a full input buffer with continued host transmission. Memory overflow concerns an oversized job, such as large graphics or selected fonts.
Voltage / logFor recurring Voltage error, record the shown voltage/message for official service. Save log stores analysis files for a non-printable error. Ignore is not a universal repair for every fault.

Official sources and scope

Checked 2026-10-31. The manual is the October 2019 edition; match its model, menus and ports to the actual unit. Driver ZIP/installer/firmware execution, physical printing and device-setting changes were not performed.
