Official JD-268BT downloadsJD-268BT: thermal labels, USB and Bluetooth
The exact English v2.7 manual documents 203dpi direct-thermal printing, USB/Bluetooth and fan-fold or roll labels. Its specification gives 40–108mm label width. Do not import 168/468 features or a wider generic app-profile range into this model.

Current linked filenames and compatibility scope
| Item | Check |
|---|---|
| Windows | The exact JD-268BT page links a Windows file named JADENS_Printer_Driver_3.3.6.505_2.exe. This is a filename observation, not verification of its internal version, signature, current Windows builds or ARM support. |
| MacOS | The MacOS link names Jadens-Printer-Driver_macos_3.3.6.506…pkg. The manual’s Mac workflow uses USB. Historical minimum-OS wording or product marketing does not establish current macOS, Apple silicon or Mac Bluetooth printing. |
| Linux / app | The Linux link names jadens-printer-driver_linux_3.3.6.506.deb; this does not establish all distributions or CPUs. The mobile Jadens Printer app and Chromebook extension are separate from these desktop packages. |
Official Windows / MacOS / Linux list
In the verification browser, the official model page redirected to Google, so its live download-list screen could not be confirmed. If the list is unavailable, ask official support to identify the JD-268BT file for your operating system. JADENS official support
Separate USB, PC Bluetooth and app workflows
| Item | Check |
|---|---|
| USB | PDF page 8: start powered off, attach the original adapter and power cord, connect USB to the printer and computer, then switch on. USB data and the power socket are distinct. |
| Windows Bluetooth | PDF page 12 and the Windows support article select Bluetooth in the driver wizard, discover the printer, then select the exact JD-268BT model. That route does not require a USB connection. Check the discovered model. |
| 휴대폰 / Chromebook | Phones select the printer inside Jadens Printer. The model-linked Chromebook card uses USB and Shipping Printer, including returning to the extension settings after Print. Current store availability, permissions and installation behavior remain unverified. |

FEED self-test versus label identification
PDF page 28 distinguishes a press to advance a blank label, holding to one beep for label learning, and holding to two short beeps for self-test. Device self-test is separate from a PC test page.
- Load labels correctly, close the cover and power on. Identify the top Feed/Reset button in the PDF page 7 diagram.
- Hold that FEED button until two short beeps for the self-test. Distinguish it from the rear O/I rocker switch.
- Compare device output with a PC job. If the self-test works but PC jobs fail, check this model’s driver, connection and selected queue.

Six loading and label-learning actions
- Switch the printer off.
- Open the cover using the release latch.
- Load direct-thermal labels printing side up and fit the guides to their width.
- Close the cover carefully.
- Power on; the label positions at the tear-off point.
- After changing labels, hold FEED to one beep for automatic identification. Keep this separate from the two-beep self-test.
Match the PDF page, app/driver settings and actual label size. For a small shipping label inside an A4 page, compare the manual’s area-selection guidance before simply shrinking the whole page.

App discovery and conditional QR connection
The model-linked app card selects JD-268BT_… in Jadens Printer, sets paper size under More settings and previews PDF/images through File. Compare actual label output separately from the app’s Connected status.
The 29 September 2026 QR article requires a QR code on the self-test sheet. The app card/QR article call the control a power button, while the exact manual separately labels top Feed/Reset and rear power switch. If the QR or button labeling differs, use ordinary app discovery or manufacturer clarification. Do not interpret this as holding the rear rocker.

Four LED states: distinguish red flash rates
| Item | Check |
|---|---|
| Steady green | Normal operation. |
| Flashing green | Head overheating; the manual says printing resumes after cooling. Do not touch the hot head. |
| Red: every 2 seconds | Paper shortage or incorrect size. Check loading and label identification. |
| Red: twice per second | Cover not fully closed. Check closure. |

Seven cause checks
| Item | Check |
|---|---|
| PC jobs only | Common host check: compare the self-test and select the exact JD-268BT driver and queue. Check → |
| Blank output | Check direct-thermal stock and printing side up. Check → |
| Skipping / position | Check guides and one-beep learning; match file, app and driver sizes to the actual label. Check → |
| Bluetooth discovery | Distinguish PC driver discovery from mobile app discovery and select the matching JD-268BT. Check → |
| QR connection | Use the official QR connection route only when the actual self-test sheet contains a QR code. Check → |
| Red flashing | Distinguish one flash every two seconds from two per second before checking media/size or cover. Check → |
| Faint output / jam | For a jam, switch off and let the head cool before opening. For a dirty head, follow the disconnected-power care below. Check → |
Four head-care steps with power disconnected
- Switch off, unplug the power cord, open the cover and wait for the head to cool.
- Clean the head with a 70% isopropyl alcohol pad; do not use water.
- Wait 2–3 minutes until the alcohol has fully dried, then close the cover.
- Reconnect power and check a test print.
For a paper jam, switch off and let the head cool before access. Internal repair or driver reinstallation is not a universal solution to these LED states.
Verification date and official evidence
Checked 23 October 2026 against official product/model download HTML, English User Manual v2.7 (32 PDF pages), the 7-page app card, 2-page Chromebook card and official support articles. This is not a physical-printer, installer-payload/signature or current OS/CPU test. No numeric error codes are invented; the QR button-name discrepancy is separated above.
