Official apps and current requirements

CheckWhat to check
HelloHello · App Store / Google Play. Apple shows version 1.6.0 with iOS 16 minimum. The manufacturer page specifies Android 11; Google’s description ends Android 10-and-earlier support from 1.4.1. Check the actual device’s store conditions.
TEPRA LINK 2Official app page / App Store. The manufacturer currently specifies iOS 16/Android 11 minimum. Apple 1.4.0 lists iOS 13, an unresolved difference; the lower number does not establish model operation. Check the official portal for the actual Android distribution route.
PC scopeDo not equate a shared TEPRA LINK 2 macOS app with support for this printer. SR-R2500P appears in the mobile Bluetooth matrix, not its macOS model matrix. Other models’ USB, LAN and Wi-Fi options do not establish this model’s interfaces.

Power, tape and regional scope

CheckWhat to check
PowerUse six AA alkaline cells or six charged AA Ni-MH cells; select the battery type in the app for Ni-MH. Power off before cells or cartridge work.
R TAPECheck the R mark; P-mark cartridges are incompatible. Tape widths are 4, 6, 9, 12 and 18 mm; maximum print width is a different measurement, 13.5 mm.
RegionThe Japanese manual marks this model for use only in Japan. Confirm regional use, sales and support conditions; this guide does not establish worldwide suitability.

Connect from the phone app

  1. Press Power to turn on, enable phone Bluetooth and select the exact SR-R2500P within Hello or TEPRA LINK 2.
  2. Slow blue flashing identifies an exclusive iOS connection. Disconnect that device and check for steady blue before connecting another; this is not a factory-reset instruction.
  3. Compare obstructions, distance and cells. Distinguish approximately 20-minute idle power-off and a two-second Power hold to turn off from a communication error.

Distinguish loading, feeding and cutting

Power off, take up ribbon slack and load the R cartridge label-side up. Check the guide pin, tape path and cover; then use the app’s feed or feed plus cut control. Do not pull tape out by hand.

Feed advances approximately 22 mm, also the minimum label length. Printing may first trim about 12 mm. For no-cut results compare stock, cut settings and, where the app provides it, ribbon continuation settings; for length differences match the actual tape width to the app.
