Find official XPJ-661UF drivers and startup tools

Open official MUTOH Club downloads

Enter your printer’s own serial number in Input Serial Number and use Search to display its files. Find MUTOH Printer Startup Assistant for XPJ_661UF and choose the language. Distinguish XPJ-661UF Pro and confirm the actual Windows and print-application support before installation.

Separate startup tools, driver, MSM and RIP

On 27 October 2026 the public page’s exact-model entries identify English and Japanese Startup Assistant entries at 198.7MB, both pointing to XPJ661UF-CD-08.zip. CD-08 identifies the archive; it does not establish an individual driver version or release date.

ItemCheck and action
Printer driverPasses Windows print data and supports white/varnish and layer functions. Match the installed ink configuration.
MSM / LFP FinderMSM provides status/error monitoring and a remote panel. LFP Finder discovers the network printer during startup setup.
Layout and Print Tool 2 / Layer EditorSeparate applications handle layout, layers and repeat jobs. Layer Editor receives driver output data.
VerteLith RIPThe product page presents it as an option. Check regional licensing and exact-model support in the installed RIP.

The separate Japanese list has VJ-MF-3G / CD-04 and a Windows 11 “32/64-bit” caption. That caption does not establish 32-bit Windows 11 or ARM64 support. Microsoft requires a compatible 64-bit processor for Windows 11. Confirm the current package’s OS/CPU requirements with MUTOH.

The Japanese CD-04 route has separate license acceptance and Japan-use terms. Check regional conditions rather than treating it as the same package as public Club CD-08.

Confirm XPJ-661UF and the A08 manual

This guide covers the UV-LED flatbed XpertJet XPJ-661UF. Use the instructions for this model rather than the separate Pro model. Check the manual’s media limits against the job: 483×594mm maximum, up to 150mm thick and 6kg including the jig.

Official English XPJ661UFE-A-08 has 192 pages; its May 2026 revision history lists firmware V.1.11 or later. That describes the manual’s scope, rather than recommending an update. Japanese A08 has 196 pages; page links here refer to the English edition.

Ethernet connection and differing speed specifications

ItemCheck and action
EthernetUse the rear Network interface connector. If MSM or RIP cannot find the printer, check the cable and compare printer/PC IP, subnet and gateway settings.
Official specification differenceThe current product page says Gb-Ethernet (1000BASE-T); English A08 p.188 says Ethernet (10/100BASE-TX). Confirm the fitted interface and link with MUTOH before imposing a speed requirement.

These sources do not establish an additional USB-to-PC or wireless connection. A network discovery utility serves a different role from the print driver.

Check a nozzle pattern independently of the PC

Use adequately sized test media

The pattern requires at least 260mm wide × 35mm long; the procedure instructs loading A4 or larger media in landscape orientation. An undersized sheet can let UV ink print onto and cure on the table. Follow the documented position and height setup.

  1. Load A4 or larger media in landscape orientation and confirm the normal Print Ready state.
  2. While ready, tap the left arrow (〈).
  3. At Nozzle Check / Start → Enter, tap Enter to print the pattern.
  4. Inspect for missing or thin lines; if present, clean and compare a new pattern.

Nozzle Check B appears only in the six-color configuration and uses a partially colored background for checking white nozzles. It is a separate choice from the ordinary Nozzle Check.

Choose cleaning when the pattern has defects

ItemCheck and action
ShortUses less ink than Normal.
NormalUse when a nozzle check reveals clogging.
LongFor clogging that persists after Normal; consumes more ink.

From Print Ready, tap the right arrow (〉), choose a mode with up/down and tap Enter. Recheck nozzles afterwards. Little Charge and Initial Charge use separate menu procedures and ink precautions; review those instructions before escalating.

Cause checks when printing fails

ItemCheck and action
Device alertStart with MSM → Printer Status → Status Information and the device message.
PC driverIf the device pattern is good and only PC jobs fail, compare model/OS/application support at this model’s download route. This is a common host-side check.
NetworkCheck the Ethernet cable and whether IP/subnet/gateway match the PC environment.
Nozzles / mediaUse the device pattern and cleaning to distinguish nozzle defects; check media size/height.
CoversCheck that the front and maintenance covers are closed.
Height detectionKeep media/jigs out of the height-detection area. Verify detection for transparent or uneven media; do not bypass the sensor.
