Find official GIANT-100 drivers

Use Printer Driver on the exact GIANT-100 product page. In Download Center, select PRINTER → GIANT-100 to see four resource entries: manuals, printer driver, configuration tools and OPOSSET. Keep driver and utility requirements separate, and verify actual OS/CPU requirements in the distribution documentation.

GIANT-100 and the shared-manual scope

GIANT-100 is a 180dpi direct-thermal receipt printer. Its official User Manual button links to the shared GIANT Series guide, JK68-60036A Rev03. Apply the relevant hardware sections through that model-specific mapping; page 13’s GIANT PRO app-setting note does not establish that feature for GIANT-100.

Print driver, configuration tools and OPOSSET

ItemCheck
Printer DriverThe current official link names SAM4SGiantPrinterDriverInstallerV3.0.4.4.zip and labels it Windows. V3.0.4.4 is filename evidence; internal version, signature, supported OS list, CPU coverage and installation results remain unverified.
GIANT&GCUBE ToolsWindows configuration tools are separately named SAM4S GIANT&GCUBE-Tools V2.403.zip. Distinguish these from the print driver and compare any intended function with the existing POS communication settings.
OPOSSET / other platformsWindows 10 & 11 is the label on OPOSSET.zip, not proof of the printer driver’s OS or ARM coverage. Product references to JPOS, CUPS and iOS/Android SDKs do not establish current macOS, Linux or mobile package versions and CPU compatibility.

USB, fitted boards, drawer and power

ItemCheck
USBPage 7 distinguishes USB data, serial, drawer and power connectors. Pages 4/7 require the printer and connected device to be off before connecting or removing cables.
Fitted interfaceThe product lists USB+Serial, USB+Wi-Fi and USB+Serial+Ethernet configurations, including 25-pin/9-pin serial variants. Check the actual unit and ordered configuration rather than assuming Ethernet and Wi-Fi are both fitted.
Drawer / powerD/K drives a cash drawer; it is not a telephone or host-network port. Page 9 uses the supplied or equivalent power supply and requires its mains lead to be unplugged before connecting or disconnecting it.

Distinguish FEED advance from a printed test

Load direct-thermal paper and compare the FEED actions on page 18. Paper advance does not prove content from a driver or POS application printed correctly.

  1. With the printer on, one FEED press advances paper by one line.
  2. Holding FEED advances paper continuously. This is paper advance, not proof of a printed self-test.

A POS command can disable the button. This guide does not prescribe DIP-switch changes, configuration resets or an unverified power-on self-test combination.

Four steps to load the thermal roll

  1. After printing has stopped, press the cover-open button to open the roll cover.
  2. Remove any empty roll core.
  3. Load a new thermal roll in the correct unwind direction shown on page 12.
  4. Draw out a short length, close the cover by pressing its centre, then tear off the excess.

Page 12 excludes rolls glued to the core; page 22 gives an 83mm maximum roll diameter. For 58mm paper, check the partition configuration on page 10. Page 13 excludes near-end detection when wall mounted; distinguish that feature from Paper Out.

GIANT-100 print problem checks

Five lamp and buzzer checks

Distinguish the general ERROR indication from the three buzzer patterns. These are not mutually exclusive lamp combinations or numeric error codes.

ItemCheck
POWER / onPage 18: the printer is powered on; this does not prove a host job printed.
ERROR / fault indicationA fault indication. Page 21 describes the buzzer together with ERROR flashing; compare the actual sound grouping and condition. Do not infer lamp colours or numeric error codes.
Cutter JamRepeated two-beep groups identify the cutter-jam condition described on page 21. Use its cutter-return guidance.
Cutter Not HomeRepeated three-beep groups indicate the cutter has not returned home. The guide applies the same return procedure as Cutter Jam.
Paper OutA repeated single-beep pattern. The guide stops the buzzer by opening the cover, then replaces the roll with suitable media.

For a printer already stopped in cutter-error state, page 21 opens the cover using its button while POWER remains on, allowing automatic cutter return. Cutter Not Home uses the same procedure. Distinguish this from page 12’s prohibition on opening during normal printing; do not force the blade or improvise disassembly.

Six cause checks

ItemCheck
Paper absentCompare Paper Out with the actual roll and follow pages 12–13 for loading. Check →
Roll / cover loadingCheck unwind direction and centre-cover closure. Do not use a roll whose end is glued to the core. Check →
Cutter jamCheck for repeated two-beep groups with the printer stopped in cutter-error state, then use the model-specific return guidance. Check →
Cutter not homeThe three-beep condition uses the same page-21 return procedure. If it persists, request dealer service rather than improvised disassembly. Check →
FEED unresponsivePage 18 states ESC c 5 can disable FEED. Common POS-app comparison: review the application’s settings/command flow with its provider; do not send arbitrary commands. Check →
Paper feeds, host failsCommon host checks: compare the fitted connection, selected queue, POS application and exact-model driver requirements. Paper movement alone does not prove normal printing. Check →

Official evidence and verification scope

Verified 23 October 2026: official SAM4S company/product pages and the GIANT-100-selected Download Center. Reviewed complete renders of pages 1/4/7/8/9/10/12/13/18/21/22/24 from the 24-page, officially linked GIANT Series JK68-60036A Rev03 guide. Installer contents/signatures, current OS/CPU compatibility and physical printing remain unverified; no device settings were changed.
