MP-B30L official software downloads
Open the MP-B30L section of SII’s official download table. Software downloads require manufacturer registration. Check the package requirements and terms there; a driver, a POS component, a mobile SDK and a firmware tool serve different purposes.
Exact B/W variant and current manual
This guide covers MP-B30L, using the current MP-B30L-x46JK2x manual. Its B variant has Bluetooth plus USB; its W variant has wireless LAN plus USB. Read the full device label before selecting the connection. A family guide does not mean every unit has both wireless interfaces. MP-B30 is a different entry; its instructions are not substituted here.
Windows, POS and mobile components
| Role | Observed scope |
|---|---|
| Windows print | The global MP-B30L table lists Printer driver with Communication Library 2.0.4 in package 2.21 for Windows 10/11. It explicitly excludes Arm CPUs. |
| Windows POS | OPOS 1.14.7.0 and POS for .NET 1.14.2.0 are separate components. Choose what the actual POS application requires. |
| Android development | Print Class Library 2.6.0 lists Android 7.0–16. A development library is not a Windows queue driver. |
| iOS / iPadOS development | Print Class Library 3.11.0 lists iOS/iPadOS 17–18 and 26. Utilities and store apps have separate requirements. |
These are the global table’s observed listings on 19 October 2026, not a payload, signature or successful-installation test. The US regional software table uses different component entries; do not combine their version numbers. No current macOS, Linux, AirPrint or universal non-Arm compatibility is promised. Store links do not prove a phone app is installed or working.
USB data connection and host jobs
For the physical USB connection, the manual starts with the printer off: connect the cable fully, turn the printer on, then send a small host job. Follow the selected software package’s installation prompts as well. Common host check: compare the exact MP-B30L queue, data cable and selected interface before replacing a driver.
Charging indication and printable power state
The USB AC adapter charges the printer; it does not replace the battery pack. The current manual states that the printer cannot print without its battery, even while that adapter is connected. Turn the printer off before installing or removing the specified battery. POWER green Blink-4 identifies adapter-only operation; POWER orange Blink-5 indicates an empty battery. Read ERROR separately. A POWER red Blink-3 charging-temperature warning is different from an ERROR red Blink-3 fault.

Thermal face, width and label detection
Load supported thermal paper with its printable face toward the head, pull it out straight, and close the center of the cover firmly. The illustrated loading instructions use at least 5 cm protruding from the outlet. Keep fingers clear of both tear edges and the hot head; do not hold back the emerging paper. The manual supports 80 mm paper, or 76.2/58 mm with the corresponding optional pair of partitions. Match the actual paper, partitions and POS layout.
With marks or gap labels, feed and detection depend on the configured sensor and media mode. A solid ERROR red light can indicate missing paper, cover open, failed mark/gap detection or failed gap calibration. It is not proof of one cause. Compare the manual’s media and calibration sections before changing settings; a driver reinstall does not establish the sensor configuration.

FEED release and device test
For either Bluetooth or WLAN models, load paper, clear errors and turn the printer off. Hold FEED, press and release POWER, then release FEED as soon as printing starts. The test prints firmware and function settings. Compare it with one small host receipt or label: a working device test does not prove that the host connection or POS format is correct.
Return to Normal Mode after the test
A mode-selection message follows the test. To resume normal printing, choose “0 : Normal Mode”: press POWER without first pressing FEED. FEED once followed by POWER selects Setting Mode instead. Avoid selecting a reset, wireless change or Hex Dump while trying to leave the test.
Separate WLAN report for W variants
Only the W model has the WLAN report option. At its post-test mode list, FEED four times followed by POWER once selects “4 : Print WLAN Information”. Wait for information acquisition and read the actual report. Do not copy sample addresses or security settings from a manual. Treat network identifiers as private and return to Normal Mode after the report; Bluetooth has a different mode list.
MP-B30L print errors and checks
Eight selected indicator groups
| Combination | Meaning and next check |
|---|---|
| ERROR red on; POWER shows battery state | Paper empty, cover open, mark/gap detection or calibration failure share this indication. Compare the full state. |
| ERROR red Blink-1; POWER shows battery state | Output buffer full. The host must read response data. |
| ERROR red Blink-2; POWER shows battery state | Head or battery temperature error. Wait for recovery within the allowed conditions. |
| ERROR red Blink-3; POWER shows battery state | Battery/voltage or adapter/cradle voltage faults need the matching recovery branch. |
| ERROR and POWER both red Blink-2 | Hardware fault. The manual directs service, not repeated driver replacement. |
| POWER orange Blink-5 | Battery empty. There is insufficient capacity for printing. |
| POWER green Blink-4 | USB AC adapter connected without the battery; the printer cannot print. |
| WIRELESS blue on / Blink-2 / Blink-3 | Connection indication / unconnected / Bluetooth pairing mode respectively. Pairing is not proof that a POS job was delivered. |
Compare ERROR, POWER and WIRELESS separately with the manual’s waveform chart. Blink labels are pattern names; recovery priorities 1–9 are not error codes. Firmware/FLASH writing is a separate state and must not be interrupted.

Eight cause checks
| Symptom | Check | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| Only host output fails | Common host check: exact MP-B30L software, OS/CPU and actual POS component. | Next check → |
| USB charging, no printing | Check the installed battery and actual USB data connection. | Next check → |
| Blank or skewed paper | Compare thermal face, straight loading and actual paper width. | Next check → |
| Label feed or gap detection fails | Compare the media/sensor configuration and official calibration branch. | Next check → |
| Test works, app cannot print | Confirm the fitted B/W variant and the host’s selected communication path. | Next check → |
| Test ended but jobs wait | Leave the printed mode list using Normal Mode. | Next check → |
| Red lights repeat | Identify which LED and waveform; both red Blink-2 requires service. | Next check → |
| WLAN address / host mismatch | Read the W model’s actual report; compare with the host destination. | Next check → |
Official sources and verification scope
Checked 19 October 2026. The global listing calls the manual Rev.08, September 2026; the PDF revision history says August 2026. Seventeen complete pages of the 81-page exact manual were visually reviewed, not the entire manual. Printed page numbers are four below PDF positions. Eight selected indicator groups and eight checks are not numeric error codes. No registration, licence acceptance, installer/firmware execution or physical printing was performed.
