RP-F10 official software

The official RP-F10 software table is public. Software downloads require manufacturer registration; read its requirements and terms before proceeding.

Identify the interface suffix first

SII lists RP-F10 as a model family; choose software and cables using the complete device label. In the manual pattern RP-F10-x27J1-x, W/K indicate white/black. The final digit is 2: USB + USB host; 3: Ethernet + USB host; 4: Bluetooth + USB host; 5: USB Type-C + Bluetooth + USB host. Check the complete physical label. These are alternatives, not all interfaces on every printer.

It uses direct thermal receipt paper and can eject from the top or front. The manual specifies 80/58 mm media and up to 250 mm/s. The Type-A host connector serves supported peripherals; it is not the PC data port. Drawer kick-out is also separate. The optional DSP-A01 display and RP-G10 mentioned on the product page are not the RP-F10 printer.

Choose the software for the actual host

Checked 13 October 2026: RP-F10 lists Windows 10/11 Printer Driver with Communication Library 2.0.4, package 2.21, explicitly excluding ARM CPUs. OPOS 1.14.7.0 and POS for .NET 1.14.2.0 are separate POS components. Use the component required by the application; firmware and LAN utilities are separate maintenance tools.

Linux CUPSFilter lists Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Suse Linux and Ubuntu, excludes ARM, and asks users to contact SII about environment restrictions. Communication Library is 1.2.0. Android SDK 2.6.0 and iOS SDK 3.11.0 are development libraries, not Windows drivers. Store links do not establish actual installation or every device’s compatibility. No current macOS/AirPrint support claim is made.

Match the full label, OS/CPU, fitted interface and chosen package instructions. Preserve working queues and POS configuration, then compare a self-test with one small host receipt. Registration, licence acceptance, installer/firmware execution and physical printing were not performed here.

Release FEED when the test starts

  1. Load supported thermal paper, close the cover, clear displayed faults and switch the printer off.
  2. Hold FEED, press POWER, then release POWER. Release FEED as soon as test printing starts.
  3. The printer outputs firmware and function settings, cuts the receipt and returns to ready. Compare that print with a small host receipt; a successful test directs host checks toward connection, application and this RP-F10 software.

Holding FEED until the test finishes instead produces the settings-mode selection. FEED then enters settings; POWER exits that selection. Do not use a settings/reset sequence for an ordinary test. Report examples contain old settings and addresses; read the actual report and keep its network/Bluetooth details private.

Ten light checks with model-specific limits

Light conditionMeaning / first checkDetails
Ready lightFactory ready is blue; its colour can be configured. On suffix-5, blue = USB enabled/iOS-Android mode, green = USB enabled/Windows mode, aqua = USB disabled.Details
Green, steadyPrinting, rather than proof the host application completed correctly.Details
Green, Blink-2Waiting for test printing. Do not confuse this with settings mode.Details
Lime yellow, Blink-1Paper exhausted: load supported paper and close the cover.Details
Lime yellow, steadyCover open: close both sides securely.Details
Red, steadyHardware abnormality; the recovery table calls for repair.Details
Red, Blink-1 / Blink-2 / Blink-3USB host abnormality / peripheral no response / hub error respectively. These indications return to the previous state after five seconds.Details
Purple, steadyHead-temperature error; wait for automatic recovery after cooling.Details
Purple, Blink-1Voltage outside the allowed range; compare the specified power supply.Details
Purple, Blink-2Cutter error: use the model’s jam/cutter procedure.Details

Blink-1 = 0.2 s on / 0.8 s off; Blink-2 = two short pulses separated by a pause; Blink-3 = rapid 0.1 s on/off, not a three-flash group. Compare colour and the official waveform. Green Blink-1 is output-buffer full; the host must read response data.

Device data, host peripherals and drawer are different

With power off, connect the cable to the actual rear interface, then power on and compare a host receipt. The Ethernet variant uses its Ethernet port; compare the real test-print IP/MAC and queue address. This manual does not list Wi-Fi. Never put a phone, Ethernet or USB cable in the drawer connector.

For suffix-5 USB communication the manual requires a host with USB Power Delivery and directs users to SII for connectable models. Bluetooth with charging differs from USB printing. Factory USB priority can prevent the intended Bluetooth path while the Type-C cable is connected. Check the actual test’s USB communication/mode fields and current light before changing configuration.

On the Bluetooth variants, the factory pairing flow holds POWER for at least seven seconds while off, opening pairing for about 60 seconds. NFC is a pairing aid requiring the corresponding Android application; it is not a completed print path. Send one small job from the actual POS application after establishing communication. Do not change USB mode during printing.

USB host errors are peripheral faults

Read the red pattern before it returns after five seconds. The manual lists unsupported devices, overcurrent, missing peripheral response, more than three connected peripherals, more than two of the same type, hubs nested beyond two levels, and a hub on Type-C as abnormal conditions. Remove the cause before reconnecting approved peripherals; replacing a PC print driver does not prove a hub is suitable.

Thermal surface, width and cutter

Use outward-wound supported thermal stock and the diagram matching top/front ejection. Pull it straight and close the cover at the marked point so both sides latch. Do not hold the emerging receipt or open the cover during cutting.

58 mm setup needs both supplied partition plates and MS4-4 set to 58 mm before first use. The manual warns against changing paper width after use has started; do not turn a used 80 mm printer into 58 mm as a routine fault check. Match the driver/POS width to the established physical configuration.

For a jam, switch off, open using the release lever and remove paper without touching the hot head or blade. If cutter lock prevents opening, the powered-off procedure repeatedly operates the lever fully while holding the cover to return the blade, then reloads straight paper. Do not use knives, pens or screwdrivers or force the blade. Persistent lock needs service.

Cooling and supply voltage

The manual’s head error occurs around 85°C and recovers around 80°C. Let it cool; these are sensor thresholds, not a waiting-time promise or permission to touch the head. Use the specified adapter. Voltage recovers automatically within range; a continuing red hardware fault requires repair.

Head alcohol is not platen alcohol

When paper powder affects quality, switch off, unplug, allow the head to cool and open the cover. The manual uses a soft cotton swab with a small amount of ethyl alcohol on the head/rubber feet and waits until fully dry before closing. It explicitly excludes ethyl alcohol on the platen: remove adhering material gently with a dry swab and avoid its gears. No solvent concentration or universal replacement interval is inferred.

Record the pattern before requesting repair

The error table’s priority numbers 1–8 describe which fault is displayed first; they are not numeric error codes. Higher priority can mask another fault. White during firmware rewriting and blue Blink-2 during pairing are separate states, not instructions to force a restart. Send the exact label, light colour/pattern and self-test result to approved support.
