Separate historical OS examples from current files

|---|---|
| Current ZIP | The current product links a ZIP named LP 46 Neo Drivers. Its internal version, CPU, signature and installation behavior were not inspected. |
| Old setup | Rev A contains older Windows examples and an SNBC website reference. These do not establish the current TVS package requirements. Match the full device name, actual USB/COM port and package instructions. |
| OS / CPU | This listing does not certify Windows 11/ARM, current macOS or Linux. Distinguish the print driver, configuration tools and firmware; confirm the current OS and CPU requirements. |
USB/Serial and document differences
The current product and brochure list USB + Serial, 203dpi and up to 150mm/s. Turn power off before connecting and identify the fitted port and supported cable. Rev A calls Serial optional and its USB appendix says USB 1.1, while the brochure says USB 2.0. Do not assume one protocol or port configuration for every unit. These sources do not establish LAN/Wi-Fi operation.
| Check | Check and next step |
|---|---|
| Print width | Product/brochure: 108mm; manual appendix: 104mm. For clipped edges, confirm the actual unit, driver and usable label width with the supplier. |
| Roll size | Product/brochure paper width is 19–120mm; the manual table says maximum 110mm. Product roll OD says 27mm versus 127mm in manual/brochure. Do not treat a larger figure as approval for every unit. |
| Identity | The product-linked cover identifies LP 46 NEO, Rev A; BTP-U100t/SNBC wording remains inside. It does not establish another catalog model or universal part/cable equivalence. |
Blank labels or ribbon errors: match the print method
PDF 15 (printed 10) distinguishes thermal transfer, which requires ribbon, from direct thermal, which does not. Match the actual media/ribbon and selected print method. Direct thermal needs suitable thermal media.
For ribbon printing, the guide normally calls for ribbon wider than the medium and warns against wrinkles or damage. Verify the fitted core and consumables; do not combine conflicting size statements.
Print side up, black mark down, under the buffer shaft
- Avoid the hot print head. Open the top cover with its release and raise the ribbon holder as shown in the guide.
- Fit the roll on its holder with a guide on each side, then place it in the paper compartment.
- Lay the leader straight along the print path, pass it under the buffer shaft and position the side guides.
- Keep the print side up and black marks down. Center the leading edge on the platen; return the fitted ribbon/head assembly to its proper position before closing.
Release at the first green flash after power-on
- Load suitable media and turn the printer on. Distinguish the brief startup beep/steady green from a separate printed self-test command.
- From ready, hold the button and release when the green LED flashes once. The printer feeds media and prints its configuration self-test.
- Compare the actual configuration with a small PC job. If device output is normal but the PC job fails, check this model’s driver, port and media settings.
Holding longer selects other functions: the second flash is mark calibration, with setting-restoration functions later. Do not apply reset operations to a routine self-test.
For new media or mark-detection trouble after sensor cleaning, check the calibration conditions in PDF 16–17. Repeated failure needs media/loading/sensor review and service, without improvised sensor repair or factory reset.
Six red-LED repeat groups / buzzer conditions
Numbers below are red flashes / buzzer beeps, not numeric display error codes. They differ from green flashes used to select button functions.
| Check | Check and next step |
|---|---|
| 2 / 2 | Head up: check correct closure. A microswitch fault requires service. |
| 3 / 3 | Paper end: compare stock, jams, loading and media/sensor-type mismatch. |
| 4 / 4 | Out of ribbon: check supply, obstruction and the actual transfer method. Sensor replacement belongs to service. |
| 5 / 0 | Head temperature: check ventilation/obstruction and wait for cooling. Do not touch the hot head. |
| 6 / 0 | Marks not found: match the actual marked media, sensor type and relevant settings. |
| 7 / 0 | Mark calibration failed: check suitable stock/loading; seek service if it repeats. |
For example, 5 / 0 means five repeating red flashes and no beep. A separate status table identifies steady green+red as pause and flashing green+red as updating; read color and behavior together.
Cause checks and the exact model driver
These are general comparisons for separating causes. Driver reinstallation alone does not diagnose a mechanical, media or ribbon fault.
| Check | Check and next step |
|---|---|
| PC only | Exact model, driver and actual USB/COM port |
| Blank | Thermal media, ribbon and selected method |
| Skew | Roll guides, buffer shaft and print side |
| Device test | Release at the first green flash |
| Warning | Actual red flashes and buzzer combination |
| Skipped labels | Marks, sensor/media settings and calibration conditions |
| Clipped edge | Resolve documented print/media width differences for the unit |
| Ribbon | Whether ribbon is needed, depleted or wrinkled |
Official sources and scope
Checked 2026-11-02. Nineteen relevant whole pages of the product-linked 42-page guide and the one-page brochure were visually reviewed. From PDF 6, printed numbering is five lower. No revision year is inferred from an undated cover. ZIP inspection, installation, terms acceptance, reset, firmware and physical printing were not performed.
