TM-L100 official driver download routes
The US support page identifies TM-L100 product code C31CJ52001. Select your actual OS under Downloads. For another regional configuration, recheck TM-L100, region and OS in SetupNavi.
Epson official TM-L100 downloadsTM-L100 is a thermal printer for liner-free adhesive labels and plain thermal receipt paper. Media width, paper type and removal-standby settings can stop output even when the PC driver works.
Choose the right software role
| Tool | Role and checks |
|---|---|
| APD | The Windows EPSON Advanced Printer Driver described on TRG p.114 provides ordinary printer-driver and POS functions. Confirm TM-L100 support and the actual package OS requirements. |
| TM Virtual Port | A Windows conversion driver for a POS application using virtual serial/parallel access to USB/LAN devices; its role differs from an ordinary application print driver. |
| TM-L100 Utility | A Windows settings, status and operation-test utility. It can show error codes; it does not replace the APD print queue. |
| OPOS / ePOS / mobile | OPOS ADK/.NET and ePOS SDK serve POS development/integration. Epson TM Utility for iOS/Android handles wireless setup and status; separately confirm support in the actual POS application. |
Checked 24 October 2026: the Download Center denied browser access and the US dynamic file listing remained loading. The roles above come from Rev K pp.114–115, not a verified latest release or Windows-generation, ARM, macOS or Linux compatibility claim. An OS name in the portal menu alone does not establish package support. Firmware updaters are separate from print drivers.
Match the fitted interfaces and options
| Port / configuration | Model-specific scope |
|---|---|
| USB-B / Ethernet | USB Type-B connects a computer; Ethernet is 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX. The drawer-kick connector is for a cash drawer, not a LAN cable. |
| Serial | A serial connector belongs to the Serial configuration. Match the actual rear connectors and do not borrow wiring from another configuration. |
| Wi-Fi / Bluetooth | Wi-Fi uses optional OT-WL06, which cannot connect to the Serial model. Bluetooth is limited to the Bluetooth model. TRG p.13 distinguishes the three configurations and regional availability. |
| USB-A Device Charging | On fitted models, the white port supports tablet data/charging. A connected tablet can disable Bluetooth; review the official USB data-communication setting. Distinguish the black USB-A peripheral ports. |

Liner-free labels versus plain thermal paper
Nominal 40 mm media is liner-free label only; 58/80 mm specifications cover plain thermal and liner-free paper. The printer ships with 58 mm guides; fit 40 mm guides or the 80 mm configuration as instructed. Use specified media/core dimensions, not arbitrary adhesive stock (TRG p.123).
TRG p.117 requires the paper-removal detector enabled for liner-free labels and disabled for plain thermal paper. Backfeed is unavailable with the detector disabled. Record the current POS configuration and coordinate any change with its operator.
Separate the printer self-test from PC printing
- Load suitable paper and close the roll cover.
- Hold Feed while switching on; keep holding until printing starts.
- After the current status and continuation guidance print and Paper flashes, briefly press Feed for less than one second.
- Wait for the character pattern, completed message and initialization. Compare the printed model, firmware and interface with the application configuration.
TRG p.93 · No physical print test was performed.
Identify why TM-L100 output stopped
One-label stops: check paper-removal standby
Paper Removal Standby holds output at its cut position and begins the next job after removal. It requires ESC/POS firmware 1.08 or later; do not assume identical behavior on every unit. Some connected peripherals can also wait. Remove output left at the exit and check whether the next job resumes.

Documented codes shown by TM-L100 Utility
Record the code shown by Utility; do not infer it from an assumed blink count. These are selected documented codes, not an exhaustive list of normal or communication indications.
| Code | Meaning / next check |
|---|---|
| 3DA11 | Roll cover opened during printing: close it securely. |
| 3CA21 | Autocutter error: use the jam procedure below. Recovery depends on the configured cancellation method; consult the official recovery procedure/service if closing the cover is insufficient. |
| 2AA23 | Head temperature too high: printing resumes as it cools. Do not touch the hot head. |
| 2BD31 | Black-mark detection error: match the black-mark paper setting to the loaded paper. |
| 3BD41 | Paper-layout error: no black mark within the configured interval. Check paper and mark spacing, then use the documented recovery procedure. |
| AKA41 / AKA42 | High / low supply-voltage errors respectively. If they recur, have qualified service check the supply configuration and printer. |
| A9999 | Other unrecoverable error. The user manual says to turn off, wait 10 seconds and turn on; contact qualified service if Error returns. |

Clear an actual paper jam
- Turn the printer off.
- Disconnect the AC cable from the outlet.
- Open the roll paper cover.
- Remove jammed paper without force; do not touch the hot head or its surroundings.
- Reload paper and close the cover. If the cover will not open, consult the separate official cover-recovery section.
TRG p.70 · When the cover will not open
Clean glue and dust by component
The user manual specifies power off, AC unplugged, cover open, then complete drying before closure. Let the head cool and use an ethanol/IPA-moistened cotton swab there. Use a slightly damp cloth at the exit/platen area; use a dry or slightly damp cloth for dust inside the roll holder.
Glue on holder/guide side surfaces is another specified alcohol-cleaning area. Do not extend alcohol use to other plastic/rubber parts. Do not touch the head with fingers or hard objects.

Choose the next check by cause
| Symptom | Next check |
|---|---|
| Self-test works; app fails | Common software check: compare APD/OPOS workflow, model, port and queue. Use this TM-L100 official driver route. |
| Stops after one label | Check paper at the exit and Paper Removal Standby before reinstalling software. |
| Position changes after paper swap | Compare width guides, actual media, black marks and paper-removal detector settings. |
| USB connection fails | Common connection check: distinguish computer USB-B from peripheral/charging USB-A and check the selected port. |
| Ethernet printing fails | Check communication status, acquired IP and the application address. Network/security defaults can vary by region and hardware. |
| Bluetooth disappears | Check for a Bluetooth configuration and a tablet using USB-A Device Charging/data communication. |
| Faint print / feed / cut problems | Use the specified cleaning methods for dust/glue. Distinguish a hot head from an actual jam. |
| Repeated supply / cutter errors | Record the exact code from TM-L100 Utility, paper and connection configuration for qualified service. |
