Operating-system and download checks

The Korean catalog lists these systems for checking: Windows Driver 12.4.0 and WHQL 2024.2_M-0 explicitly include Alpha-30L and list Vista/7/8/8.1/10/11, Server 2008/2008 R2/2012/2012 R2/2016/2019/2022 and 32-bit/x64 editions. Windows ARM is incompatible. Mac TSC-1.29 and Linux 1.2.13 64-bit/0.2.06 32-bit are listed for this model, but exact macOS versions and Linux distributions must be checked in the package.. Select your exact operating system and version on the official page. If your version is not offered, do not install a package intended for a different system.

Connection and installation

  1. Confirm Alpha-30L, installed radio configuration, exact OS, charged battery and direct-thermal media. USB-C is communication-only, not a substitute for the specified charger.
  2. Load the roll printing-side up, close both sides of the cover and use Menu, Sensor, Auto Calibration for the actual gap/black-mark media when changing stock.
  3. Open the interface cover and connect a USB-C data cable to the PC. Install the applicable official Windows package with the actual model and USB port; match label size and sensor type and print a short test.
  4. TSC Console is a separate management tool: Printers, Add Printers, USB, OK discovers the device, but does not by itself establish an OS print queue.
  5. For an installed Wi-Fi configuration, initially use USB in Console, open printer configuration, Get, Wi-Fi, then set SSID, matching authentication/key and DHCP or administrator-assigned addresses. Set, confirm actual Wi-Fi IP, disconnect USB and add through Network in Console. Print Test Page and match the OS queue port to the actual address.
  6. European first-network setup requires review of PRTSecure policy. Official Standard-mode setup is documented through USB Functions, PRTSecure, Security Mode or LCD Advanced, PRTSecure. Administrators retaining Strict must follow the official security guide; never disable security indiscriminately.
  7. For Bluetooth, power the printer on and connect the host to its actual Local Name shown under Menu, Interface, Bluetooth or a self-test report. Confirm the LCD Bluetooth icon and application-specific print integration.

Troubleshooting

Check battery, cable/radio and the actual Windows driver port for missing output. Blank labels require direct-thermal stock and correct printing-side orientation. No Paper, Paper Jam or skipped labels require media loading, actual size and gap/black-mark calibration checks. Close the cover for Carriage Open; remove the dispensed label for Take Label in peel mode. Check the installed Wi-Fi configuration, credentials, IP and PRTSecure policy before resets: Wi-Fi Default and Factory Default erase saved settings. Follow official media/head maintenance and seek service for persistent faults.
