Actual model download records supply Windows 2.6.46, Mac 1.11.19, Linux 1.1.186 and explicitly include P2500. Product compatibility is not an individual-file OS table. No macOS 13 onward, Windows ARM or other Linux distribution support is inferred. Check package conditions and legacy OS security separately. P2500W PLUS packages are a different model.. Connection and installation
- Confirm exact P2500 label, OS/architecture, administrator rights, saved queue settings/jobs, power, toner, paper, removed packing and USB data cable. Read actual official package conditions and license/privacy prompts before deciding to proceed.
- The official shared P2200/P2500/P2600 manual connects printer and computer by USB and powers both on before starting USB installation. Do not apply another vendor cable order.
- Run the matching official P2500 Series installer. Mac uses Pantum Install Tool and local administrator authentication when prompted. Choose One-click installation under USB, not Wi-Fi or Wired Network. Wait for discovery, driver installation and queue creation.
- Use Print & Test Page to check the intended queue and paper. If one-click fails, Windows More setup methods selects actual model/language then Connect via USB and Install. Mac additional setup selects the actual discovered USB printer then Install and test print. The old macOS 10.14 example does not guarantee current UI or compatibility.
- Ubuntu users follow the actual official Linux package instructions and compatibility conditions, not a Windows EXE or invented shell commands. Shared-manual network, WPS, SSID and mobile-print chapters are restricted to models with those features and are not P2500 installation instructions.
Troubleshooting
For missing output, check power, USB cable connection, actual P2500 driver and correct USB port. Check offline/paused state and incomplete jobs without deleting other queues. Check paper-empty, jam and cover conditions before testing. Check supported paper, loading direction, guides and damaged media; the shared P2600 manual-feed tray is not P2500 hardware.
