Connection and installation
- Check exact model, real installed options, OS/CPU/admin rights, toner and paper. Preserve existing queues, IP/ports and jobs. No unauthorized addressing/security changes. USB(B) unused and USB(A) storage are not PC printer connections.
- Use shielded LAN cable on approved network. System Settings / Network Settings: actual IP, approved DHCP or assigned address/mask/gateway. Do not copy sample IP.
- Official package: verify supported model/OS/language/region/terms, run with admin rights. Standard installation searches device; an existing Sharp driver uses add-new-printer flow. If missing, check power/network, then Specify condition with actual IP.
- Without PS kit select PCL6, confirm real option configuration and print test page on actual queue/port. Preserve default printer if desired; reboot only when requested.
- BP-EB10 installed only: System Settings / Network Settings / Wireless(Infrastructure Mode), approved actual SSID/authentication/password or compatible WPS. Wired + Wireless(Direct Connection) is separate. Coordinate shared jobs and recheck actual IP/port.
Troubleshooting
No output: power, toner/paper, panel error, exact queue/pause/offline and actual LAN IP/port. DHCP/router changes can leave an old port address. Missing wireless menu: check installed BP-EB10; software cannot create absent hardware. PS errors: real BP-PK10/PK10L and driver conditions. Follow displayed jam procedure; avoid hot fuser.
