The Korean catalog lists these systems for checking: Actual StarPRNT Intelligence Setup EXE 3.8.1 (191 MB) explicitly provides Windows 11 64-bit and Windows 10/8.1/7 32/64-bit for TSP800II. Full is a separate 251 MB bundle including manuals; EXE does not. Installation Manual Rev.3.9 excludes IoT Enterprise, Windows 10 Mobile and Windows RT where specified. Check actual CPU/regional/package conditions; ARM, Server, current macOS versions or Linux distributions are not inferred from old product tables or menu names. CUPS and JavaPOS are separate files, not features of this Windows EXE.. Select your exact operating system and version on the official page. Connection and installation
- Read the bottom label and actual interface suffix, OS/CPU and administrator rights. Preserve POS settings, queues and jobs; check the proper external supply, data cable and thermal media. Label stock requires black timing marks. Check release notes before replacing older software; do not install multiple StarPRNT versions on one PC.
- USB variant: leave USB disconnected until the official compatible software is fully installed. Extract Full ZIP and run its setup, or use the separate EXE according to its prompts; read actual terms yourself. Then power on and connect USB, let Plug and Play add the real queue, and print a test page from Printers & scanners.
- Ethernet variant: connect to the approved LAN and obtain the real Current IP Parameters from self-test. In Printer Utility StarPRNT choose the actual model, Ethernet and Search Network; use the verified IP if discovery fails. Save the found device, open Windows Printer Queue Management, Install Driver/Add and test. Never copy example IPs or disable the entire firewall.
- Bluetooth variant only: pair the actual named device/address in Windows Bluetooth & devices. Pairing is not the Windows application print queue: create a separate queue in the utility. WLAN/CloudPRNT/AirPrint require their actual regional interface and dedicated instructions; the shared Ethernet/Wi-Fi guide does not make USB or ordinary Ethernet units wireless.
- Match app/driver media and emulation. The TSP800II function table supports Windows queue management in Star Line Mode with USB Printer Class or the listed non-USB interfaces, not USB Vendor Class, ESC/POS or Star Page Mode. Do not change switches blindly.
Troubleshooting
Missing USB queue: verify driver-before-cable order, powered-on device and actual port. Network failure: cable, approved LAN, real IP and saved queue. Bluetooth Driver is unavailable after pairing is not proof that an application queue exists. Cut/label alignment: actual media width, black marks and app/driver settings. Light output: suitable fresh thermal roll, debris and the official TSP800-series cleaning procedure; power off, let the hot head cool and cleaning fluid dry completely before powering on. The manual says to retain Print directly to the printer unchecked and Enable advanced printing features checked. Persistent faults require exact indication/model and official support, not mass queue removal, factory reset or blanket security disabling.
