Connection and installation
- Choose PJ-863 and your exact OS on the official support page. Use the Software/Document Installer or required print driver.
- Prepare the specified external power supply or rechargeable battery. USB alone does not provide sufficient printer power.
- For USB, turn the printer off, connect its USB Type-C port to the computer, then turn it on. Follow installation prompts and confirm the actual printer port.
- Feed thermal paper gently with its printing surface facing down. Match paper size and margins in the application, driver, and Printer Setting Tool.

- Print a test document. PJ-883 Wi-Fi and Wireless Direct instructions do not apply to PJ-863. Ethernet is not its connection method.
Troubleshooting
For blank output, check thermal paper, printing side, and density. Close the Release Cover completely if feeding fails. Match paper size and margins for cut-off or misplaced output. Check the USB data cable or Bluetooth pairing and settings for missing output. Let an overheated head, motor, or battery cool and keep ventilation clear. This is a print-only device.
