Operating-system and download checks
The Korean catalog lists these systems for checking: Printer Driver 7.0j, 24 September 2025, 22.71 MB, explicitly lists TD-2130N and Windows 11, Windows 10 32/64-bit, Server 2022/2019/2016. A Server 2025 menu does not make this file compatible. Brother states no drivers for ARM processors running Windows. On 6 October 2026, actual macOS 26 and 15 lists did not provide a print-driver file; Transfer Express is a firmware utility. The model page and Manuals offer AirPrint guidance, a separate driverless route, with single-label Safari/email limitations. Verify real network/app/media compatibility; do not infer Linux/distribution/CPU support from menus. Legacy file availability is not OS security support.. Select your exact operating system and version on the official page. If your version is not offered, do not install a package intended for a different system.
Connection and installation
- Confirm exact model, region, rated power, actual OS/CPU and permissions. Preserve working queues, jobs, IP and media settings. Prepare a data mini-USB or Ethernet cable and suitable thermal roll. Review actual terms. P-touch Editor, Printer Setting Tool and firmware tools do not replace the print driver; no routine factory reset or firmware update.
- USB: choose Local Connection (USB), then connect the rear mini-B to the PC and power on when prompted. Ethernet: connect LAN and power on, choose Wired Network Connection (Ethernet) and the real printer. Follow current compatible-file prompts, not old CD/Windows screenshots. Match the real queue, port and media size and test a small label job.
- Wi-Fi only with PA-WI-001 fitted: disconnect Ethernet, check WLAN slider/power, use Wireless Network Connection and temporary USB to configure the authorized SSID/key, then test wireless printing. Coordinate changes with the administrator; no blanket security disabling.
- Mac: distinguish actual utilities from an absent print-driver file. Review the model's official AirPrint instructions and actual network/app/media conditions before testing. Do not assume shared AirPrint examples prove a Wireless Direct interface on this model.
Troubleshooting
Check power, cable, installed driver, real port and STATUS errors first. Feeding errors: verify registered media size and sensor position. Wait for cooling or other users' jobs to finish. Preserve working queues. The Cleanup Tool removes information/files for multiple installed Brother label/mobile printer families: it is not a first-line generic fix. The model's current file details, specifications and official User's Guide printed pages 6-8, 21-24, 56-59, 94-98 ground this guidance.
