This guide is for the direct-thermal/thermal-transfer print-only label printer. eos5/200 or eos5/300 uses rolls up to 203mm diameter; larger than eos2. standard ac-powered eos5, not separate eos5 mobile. usb 2.0 hi-speed device and ethernet 10/100; wlan only with compatible installed usb stick. not scan/copy/fax. model cab EOS5. Operating-system and download checks

The Korean catalog lists these systems for checking: Verified 9 October 2026 by expanding exact EOS2/EOS5 Drivers. Windows Driver NEW 1.4.2.0, 1 April 2026, 22.64MB: Windows 10/11 and Server 2016/2019/2022/2025 64-bit, latest Visual C++ Redistributable required. Separate NEW ARM64 for Windows 11. MAC OS 1.46: 10.15–26; separate OS X 1.46: 10.6–10.14. Linux 1.46: CUPS 1.2+, separate x86 32-bit, Intel/AMD 64-bit, ARMv7 32-bit RPi 2/3/4 and ARMv8 aarch64 64-bit RPi 3/4. Do not merge ARCHIV or cablabel application conditions, infer Windows 11 x86 or all ARM. Verify actual file/CPU/region/terms; legacy files do not promise OS security support.. Connection and installation

1. Check exact EOS5 resolution, OS/CPU, rights, stock, layout, gaps/marks and ribbon. Preserve queues/ports/jobs. Dry level surface, grounded power; switch affected devices off before cabling and avoid hot head/moving parts. No routine factory reset, authentication weakening or firmware change.
2. USB: official compatible driver and prerequisites; follow current package prompts. Configuration guide installs driver then Windows Add Printer and actual USB port. Power off for cabling, connect PC to USB device, not USB host; power on and match exact model/resolution/queue/port. Match direct thermal versus transfer/ribbon, label dimensions/sensor and test one label.
3. Ethernet: shielded RJ45, approved network and real IP. Add Standard TCP/IP with authorized Raw or LPR, matching actual device port.9100 is manual's delivery setting, not an instruction to overwrite working configuration. No invented IP or live web-session IP/Gateway changes.
4. Optional compatible WLAN stick only: Setup/Interfaces/Wi-Fi enable, Operation mode/Connect to network/Access-Point, approved actual SSID/authentication, DHCP or authorized address. Confirm real IP and queue/port, test. Configuration guide applicability starts SN 14089; check actual firmware/unit. Hotspot differs from joining existing network; no wireless setup without option.

Troubleshooting

No output: power, exact EOS5 queue, USB device port or actual IP/Raw/LPR. No label found: actual format/stock/gap or mark/sensor path. Every second label skipped: excessive software label height. Out of paper: roll/feed; Out of ribbon: ribbon or thermal mode mismatch; Printhead open: latch. Printhead too hot: wait for cooling and review approved speed/heat if repeated. Preserve other jobs; do not indiscriminately Ignore errors. Persistent faults require exact model/resolution, OS/connection, stock/message to official support.
