Connection and installation
- Check Q4.3 resolution, left/right configuration, actual options, OS/CPU, rights, labels/ribbon and existing layouts. Trained staff must handle mechanical applicator installation and production-line safety. Switch affected devices off for cable work; avoid rotating parts and hot heads. No security bypass or factory reset.
- USB: compatible official driver and prerequisite; follow actual package and Windows Add Printer steps. Select exact Q4.3 resolution and actual USB port. Connect PC to USB device, not USB host. Match label size/gap/orientation and direct-thermal versus transfer/ribbon settings; test a small label without starting automatic applicator motion.
- Ethernet: shielded RJ45 cable, approved network and actual IP. Add Standard TCP/IP port using authorized Raw or LPR settings. Raw port must match device; do not invent addresses or change IP/Gateway through an active web session.
- Optional compatible Wi-Fi stick only: Setup / Interfaces / Wi-Fi, enable, Operation mode / Connect to network / Access-Point. Use actual approved SSID, authentication and DHCP or assigned addressing. Match actual network queue/port. Configuration manual applies from SN14089; verify unit-specific applicability. Hotspot is distinct; no default-password recommendation.
Troubleshooting

Out of ribbon: ribbon or a direct-thermal/transfer mismatch. Printhead open: latch. Printhead too hot: wait to cool; repeated faults require approved heat/speed review. Preserve others' jobs; do not blindly Ignore errors. Persistent hardware faults need exact message/configuration for official service.
