Model and driver source
This guide is for the industrial thermal-transfer label printer, not a copy/scan mfp. exact mach 4s configurations are 300 or 600 dpi; 203 dpi belongs to mach 4.3s. the official table marks direct thermal as possible for mach 4s 300 dpi, but not for its 600 dpi column. check the actual b (tear-off), p (peel-off) or c (cutter) configuration. pc usb 2.0 device and ethernet 10/100 are standard. wi-fi requires a compatible optional usb wlan stick. model cab MACH 4S. The download button opens the official cab support page in this window. The manufacturer’s page is authoritative for the available driver packages and their current compatibility.
Operating-system and download checks
The Korean catalog lists these systems for checking: Verified 10 October 2026 on the official MACH 4S download page: Windows Driver NEW 1.4.2.0 (1 April 2026, 22.64 MB) lists Windows 10 / 11 and Server 2016 / 2019 / 2022 / 2025, 64-bit, with the latest Visual C++ Redistributable. Windows 11 ARM64 has a separate NEW ARM64 package. Do not merge ARCHIV compatibility into the current package. Mac driver 1.46 lists macOS 10.15–26; the separate Mac OS X entry lists 10.6–10.14. Linux 1.46 requires CUPS 1.2+ and has x86 32-bit, Intel/AMD 64-bit and separate Armv7 / Armv8 files. Armv7 lists Raspberry Pi 2/3/4; Armv8 lists Raspberry Pi 3/4, not all ARM devices or distributions. Match the actual OS, CPU, package and installation instructions. Legacy files do not guarantee continuing OS security support.. Select your exact operating system and version on the official page. If your version is not offered, do not install a package intended for a different system.
Connection and installation
- Confirm the exact model, resolution, B/P/C configuration, OS, CPU, installation rights, media, ribbon and actual interfaces. Preserve shared work and settings. Operator's Manual pages 5–7: use a dry, level location and grounded power; switch off affected devices before cabling. Avoid hot printheads and moving parts. Read terms yourself. The configuration manual is listed for serial numbers from 14089; match the actual serial number, firmware and menus. No routine reset, firmware flash or security disabling.
- USB: Operator's Manual page 6 identifies rear PC USB Device port 17, distinct from Host ports 16 for accessories. Configuration page 7: install the compatible Windows driver, select a USB connection port and connect the PC and printer. Coordinate power and cable timing with safety instructions and actual installer prompts. Select the exact MACH 4S resolution, port, print method and options. Page 12: labels face up; check guides, media path and both print-module latches. For thermal transfer, the ribbon's coated side faces the labels. Test a small label.
- Ethernet: use an approved network and shielded RJ45 cable. Configuration page 8: add a standard TCP/IP port and choose Raw or LPR matching the printer's actual settings. The factory RawIP port 9100 is not proof of the current configuration. Verify the real DHCP or administrator-approved IP, mask and gateway. Do not copy an example address, overwrite a working shared port or change IP / gateway settings arbitrarily. Match the actual queue, resolution, media and options, then test.
- Wi-Fi needs an installed compatible USB WLAN stick. Applicable Configuration page 8: Setup / Interfaces / Wi-Fi, enable Wi-Fi, Operation mode / Connect to network, then select the approved access point. Enter the real SSID for a hidden network, approved DHCP or IP / mask / gateway and authentication key. Match actual menus and firmware; do not weaken encryption. Verify the real address and print port, then test. Mac and Linux use their own compatible official package instructions, exact USB device or network address, resolution and label settings; do not invent terminal commands.
Official MACH 4S Operator's Manual: applicable safety, interfaces, media, synchronization and error pages checked. Official Configuration Manual: applicable serial-number condition and computer connection pages checked.
Troubleshooting
Check the real queue, port, resolution and installed interface before reinstalling a driver. No label found: actual stock versus software format and sensor. Operator's Manual page 15 distinguishes odd- and even-lane gap sensors and says they cannot be selected through software. Pages 18 and 21–23: applicable peel-off or cutter modes require feed synchronization after loading media. Out of paper: stock and feed path. Printhead open: module locking. Out of ribbon: ribbon supply, threading and print-method mismatch. Skipping every second label: software size may be too large. Overheated head: allow cooling and review appropriate heat / speed if recurring. Faint output or vertical white lines: media / ribbon combination and head cleanliness. Any cleaning requires disconnected power, a cool head and the official page 19 procedure. Do not dismantle cutters or printheads, erase other users' jobs or weaken security. Refer persistent faults to cab with the exact model, OS, connection and error message.
