This is an available recommended package, not a claim of the newest release; no Windows ARM or Server 2025 support is inferred. Mac printing uses AirPrint; the notification lists macOS 10.11-10.15/11, not proof of every latest Mac OS. Linux UPD 1.3.0 packages list Debian 10/11, Ubuntu 20.04/22.04 and specific RPM distributions; ARM-only HBP UPD 2.0.0 lists Ubuntu 22.04/Debian 11. Connection and installation

1. Confirm B3442dw versus MB3442, OS/architecture, installation rights, toner/paper and saved queue/port settings. Use the specified cord and grounded outlet; avoid cabling during lightning or disturbing connections while printing. Do not interrupt firmware updates.
2. The official installer guide prepares local printers already connected by USB; also follow any actual installer prompts rather than a universal disconnect-first rule. Install the matching official Windows package, select the actual USB printer/port, match paper settings and test printing. Shared scan/fax components do not add hardware functions.
3. For Ethernet, connect RJ-45 to a working LAN port and use the same network as the computer. Record the actual printer IP. If discovery fails, add by TCP/IP address or hostname with the installed printer driver; never copy an example IP. Configure extra trays only when actually installed.
4. For Wi-Fi, remove the Ethernet connection and set Settings, Network/Ports, Network Overview, Active Adapter to Auto. Use Wireless, Setup On Printer Panel, Choose Network to select the actual SSID and enter its password. Check Reports, Network, Network Setup Page for Connected, then install/select the actual network printer. WPS needs a compatible router; do not apply every optional shared-manual feature to this model.
5. For a compatible Mac, add the actual network printer with AirPrint or Secure AirPrint. AirScan wording in shared support data does not make this print-only model a scanner. Check current OS and feature requirements. Linux uses Additional downloads and an administrator-reviewed matching CUPS package, not the Windows EXE or a different architecture.

Troubleshooting

Check the selected print queue, power/display errors, working port and cable in that order. For network discovery, verify Connected, LAN port/cable or SSID/password/Auto and isolation policy with the administrator. Persistent printing faults follow the manual: save job/settings, turn off, wait about ten seconds and restart, then reinstall only the applicable driver or contact support. Never restart during a firmware update. Wrong tray/media requires matching application, driver and actual Paper Size/Type. Light print checks toner/media and official quality-test pages; do not touch the drum or default to resets. There is no B3442dw scan/fax function to repair.
