Connection and installation

3. Ethernet: attach rear Ethernet to the approved LAN shared with the PC. Read the actual display IP or Settings / Reports / Network / Network Setup Page and check connected status. Select the real device/address in the installer; if discovery fails compare current IP with the PC port and use the installer's manual address route. Never copy a sample IP.
4. Wi-Fi: with administrator approval confirm Settings / Network/Ports / Network Overview / Active Adapter Auto. Wireless / Setup On Printer Panel / Choose Network selects the actual approved SSID/key. Confirm same LAN, connected Network Setup Page and real IP, register the device in the compatible print driver and test. Wi-Fi Direct is separate from router Wi-Fi; do not weaken security.
5. Mac: choose the actual compatible PS DMG, follow its supplied instructions and installer, then add the real device under Printers & Scanners with matching installed software/options. AirPrint is a separate route. Windows Configuration / Update Now - Ask Printer or Mac Options & Supplies must match installed hardware.
6. Scanning needs its compatible component, real scanner and supported app, not just a print queue. The guide's network PC workflow needs the same LAN and registered device. Use actual Source in Windows Fax and Scan if available, or a compatible app; no preinstalled-app promise on current OS. Flatbed originals face down at the marked corner; feeder originals face up. Test scan and print separately. Fax requires region-specific telephone setup.

Troubleshooting

Unresponsive: power/sleep, correct USB/LAN port/cable and actual queue/driver. The guide permits switching off and waiting about 10 seconds before restarting; persistent issues need official support. Only an authorized administrator checks Enable USB Port if local policy permits. Network: compare display IP/PC port and Network Setup Page connected status. Wi-Fi: authorized Active Adapter Auto, exact SSID/security mode and case/space-sensitive key. Paper: actual tray/size/type versus device and driver. Scan: compatible component, real scanner/original and same LAN. No mass queue deletion, factory reset, authentication bypass or blanket firewall disabling.
