Operating-system and download checks

The Korean catalog lists these systems for checking: Verified 8 October2026: StarPRNT for Portable Full2.2,86.6MB,updated2024-08-06. Explicit Windows11 64bit;10/8.1/8/7 32/64bit. Current Linux list has no downloads; ARM not inferred. OPOS/JavaPOS/mobile SDKs have separate conditions. Legacy OS downloads do not imply security support.. Select your exact operating system and version on the official page. If your version is not offered, do not install a package intended for a different system.

Connection and installation

  1. Check exact label, firmware, actual communication mode/emulation/Bluetooth name, OS/CPU/rights and receipt-app compatibility. Preserve queues/COM/settings/jobs. Check battery, approved charger, thermal media and cover; do not open cover or reconnect communications during printing. Let the thermal head cool.
  2. Exact official SM-T300i support and Windows package conditions. Hardware Manual3.2 is for firmware5.0 or later; check firmware with official FEED-at-power-on self-test. Select the matching manual for other firmware; do not apply legacy mode names/button sequences to every revision or force an update.
  3. Official Windows Bluetooth setup has three stages. Extract Full ZIP and run setup, or use official Setup EXE; read licence and complete Typical installation. Optional cloud-service enrolment is not required. Pair the actual self-test Bluetooth name in Windows, using authorized actual PIN. Check firmware-specific Windows Bluetooth mode against official mode guidance and matching manual, plus StarPRNT emulation.
  4. Device Properties → Hardware shows actual Bluetooth COM number; COM4 in the article is only an example. Portable Printer Utility: SM-T300i → Bluetooth → real COM → Done. Windows Printer Queue Management: Install Driver → Add → correct queue/media → Test Print receipt. Pairing alone does not create a working print queue.
  5. Mac CUPS: verify actual supported OS/model and use its included installation guide with firmware-specific Mac Bluetooth mode, not Windows EXE/COM examples. RS-232C uses approved model-specific serial cable and real port/communication/application settings. Do not infer serial app compatibility from Bluetooth instructions or substitute USB/LAN/Wi-Fi procedures.

Public legacy hardware Rev1.9 confirms direct thermal receipt type and interfaces; legacy configuration steps are not transferred to current firmware.

Troubleshooting

Driver Unavailable immediately after Bluetooth pairing can be normal per official guidance; verify StarPRNT installation, real COM, printer queue and Test Print. Not discoverable: power/battery, actual self-test name, correct firmware-specific mode and existing host connection. Paired but silent: exact model, firmware prerequisite, StarPRNT emulation, actual COM/queue and receipt application. Blank output: proper thermal-media orientation/loading and cover/paper status. If self-test fails or errors persist, record model, firmware, OS, connection, status sheet and exact message for official support. Do not delete all queues, factory-reset, disable security or force firmware changes.
